The fans and players alike are gearing up for the main event at the NBA All-Star weekend, the Team East vs. Team West showdown. Despite many formidable superstars being a part of the line-up such as Stephen Curry, Damian Lillard, Paul George, and Jalen Brunson, other younger additions are hyping the fans up. For Instance, Anthony Edwards, who after spearheading Team USA’s effort in FIBA this year has taken his game to new heights. As a result, the Timberwolves have the one seed in the West.

Recently, in an interview, Ant-man was asked what was he planning to do at the weekend, he simply said, “I’m gonna shoot it left hand the entire game.” That is interesting, to say the least, and fans are surely in for a treat.

In-game, Edwards is the most entertaining player to watch so his claims of shooting with his left hand aren’t so far-fetched. It’s his second All-Star appearance in a row and the 22-year-old is on his way to doing great things in this league. His declaration of shooting left-handed also prompted a Lakers superstar to bet in his favor.

Anthony Davis said in the live presser, “I think the All-Star game is made for Anthony Edwards. You know, the way he plays obviously his personality.” AD went on saying, “He (Anthony Edwards) was just saying, he’ll shoot all left-handed throughout the game. You know, he wanna make it fun and spice it back up, you know. So, I think Ant probably has a chance to win the MVP.” This level of acknowledgment from a future Hall of Famer will surely instill a huge amount of confidence in Edwards.

Then again, AD doesn’t say this for everybody. If indeed, Ant wins the All-Star MVP he joins an elite class of players like LeBron James who is the youngest winner of the All-Star MVP at 21, and Kobe Bryant who the trophy is now named after, won four times but the first time when he was 23. With only hours left in the match-up, huge expectations ride on Ant-man. Will he be able to deliver?
