Anthony Edwards is a known loudmouth. But tonight, he was instrumental in the Minnesota Timberwolves‘ narrow 131-128 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. But in typical Ant fashion, his manner of celebration was only fit for mature audiences.

Edwards made a block in overtime to deny Shai Gilgeous-Alexander a basket. And this turned out to be pivotal given how narrow their victory was. Stood alongside Jaden McDaniels and Nickell Alexander-Walker, Ant-Man seemed ecstatic as Lea Bolsen approached them for a post-game interview.

Way to f—in hoop, y’all!” proclaimed Ant, unable to contain his excitement.

Lea had to quickly check him, reminding Edwards that they were on national TV. “Gentlemen, we’re live now. We’re on air now, Ant,” she said. And Ant seemed to understand the situation as he nodded and tried to tone down his excitement. It was quick thinking on Lea’s part to stop this situation from getting worse and save Anthony from digging himself into a deeper hole on live TV.

As someone who’s already paid $285k in fines this season, it would be wiser to not make his pockets lighter. Moreover, $200,000 of the aforementioned $285,000 was for the same thing he did tonight, Namely, swearing on live TV. It seems Ant just needs someone to keep him in check every time there’s a camera on him.

Sadly, though, Lea Bolson wasn’t around in the tunnel to save Anthony from being his verbose, carefree self. However, we did notice another concerning visual as he bragged about his game-winning block.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Ant's unfiltered celebration a breath of fresh air or a PR nightmare for the Timberwolves?

Anthony Edwards limps to the locker room following OKC Thunder victory

Anthony Edwards played through injury in the first leg of the back-to-back against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The T-Wolves lost that game despite Ant dropping 29 points and 10 rebounds. However, it seems the situation was the same for tonight’s victory against the Thunder.

“Superman with the block!!,” yelled Edwards as he made his way back into the locker room. However, something was off with the video. Ant seemed to be limping as he walked back to the dugout. “With a bad calf!!,” he yelled out next, confirming Minnesota fans’ worst fears.

But the 24-year-old didn’t seem too perturbed by his compromised calf. Even though he was limping around the tunnel, he still managed to high-five anyone in sight as he continued to celebrate the amazing block he made to deny SGA.

Now, Anthony Edwards did not play late in the fourth quarter when the T-Wolves overturned the deficit to force overtime. That means that despite his stoicism around the injury, it is bothering him quite a bit on the court. It will be interesting to see what Edwards’ status is ahead of the game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.

But knowing Ant, he’ll probably take to the court with a “bad calf” once again to help his team out against LeBron James and company.
