Ever since Karl-Anthony Towns made an expansive claim, the NBA world has been behind him, trolling. It was Shaquille O’Neal & Co. who initially took a dig at him after claiming to have a routine of taking 1500 shots per day. Following that, fans trolled him with memes and comments. While the buzz dropped down for a bit, Kendrick Perkins, Richard Jefferson, and Channing Frye picked up the baton and continued poking Minnesota‘s big man.

In the latest episode of Road Trippin’, the trio took Towns’ claim into their hands. When a reporter had asked KAT about his shooting trouble, he confidently said, “I’m putting up to 1500 shots a day. Shot so well all playoffs, confidence extremely high.” Reacting to the claim, they bounced off their seats and said, “It’s a cap,” unanimously.

Fyre jumped in and further said, “It’s a gigantic cap,” and went on to claim that it was unrealistic to make those many shots in a day. However, Big Perk dug deep into the statement and said, “It don’t have nothing to do about what KAT is doing, or getting his extra work in. That mo********er is scared of them all. That’s what it comes down to.” Perkins didn’t stop at that. He further went on to drop the reason for his statement.

He pointed out Karl-Anthony Towns’ reluctance to dominate despite the Mavs’ shorthanded roster. In Game 3, the Mavs’ rookie center, Dereck Lively II, took a nasty blow to the head and couldn’t play the major chunk of the game. With Lively II out of the game, the Wolves had the opportunity to dominate the paint during Daniel Gafford’s off-the-court minutes. But, Perkins claimed that Towns, “didn’t want no parts of it.”

Shaq & Co. initially ignited the Karl-Anthony Towns humiliation

It was just after Towns made his “1500 shots” statement that the Inside Guys were behind the Wolves player. Notably, when the player suffered an injury scare in Game 5 against the Denver Nuggets, he continued to play the entire game, shrugging it off. However, right after the loss, Towns was seen limping toward the locker room. It was enough for Dray, who joined the Inside Guys for the postseason, to take a dig at him.

Green declared that KAT showed disbelief and the Wolves would end up losing the series. Nevertheless, it didn’t go Green’s way, but this time around, the Wolves could bite the dust unless they pull off a miracle.

And, during the post-game analysis of Game 3, everyone on the panel was bemused after his statement. Especially Shaq said, “The fact that he (Towns) is not upset that he played terrible showed me that he’s not ready yet.” Notably, Towns was giggling as he made that claim.
