The Golden State Warriors are the winners of this era. Stephen Curry propelled them to enormous heights and continues to command a lot of adoration from the fanbase. They just won the title during the 2021-22 season, but the last season was an immense disappointment. However, the team has a history of turning around after lean seasons. However, a renowned analyst tends to disagree that the turnaround will come this season. He isn’t entertaining the idea of them making a title run this season.

Another well-known NBA player countered him and wants to have a discussion about it. Will he get his wish?

Kendrick Perkins has been giving a lot of controversial takes ever since he has become an analyst. On ESPN, he sat down with NBA insider Brian Windhorst and host Mallika Andrews to discuss the Warriors? chances of making the Finals next season. Perk zooms in on his remote-controlled screen and quips, ?Read my lips?.?

Then he makes a bold proclamation, “I give them a 1% chance?. He states that it’s because of Steph Curry that he even gives them that much chance, otherwise he would have settled for a zero. He also rates the Denver Nuggets, Sacramento Kings, LA Lakers, and Phoenix Suns ahead of the Warriors.

Austin Rivers, who had sparred against Steph Curry, seemed to dislike Perkins? comments. In the Insta comments, he wrote, “Bro, we gotta talk about this take?.. smdh?. His defense of Curry is in contrast to what he said on his podcast Off Guard in January when he was asked who is the toughest player to guard in the league.

He had made a controversial statement, claiming, “Steph. It’s not even close… you can’t touch him, they give him every f-u**ing call. They set illegal screens for him the entire game… they don’t call it ’cause they want to see him shoot?. The Guard did make such a huge remark, but he respects the Warriors sharpshooter as a generational talent, too. The latest challenge to Perkins certainly attests to that.?

Will these two sit together soon and discuss the whole issue? Golden State Warriors brought in huge experience after trading for Chris Paul. They also signed Draymond Green to a four-year $100 million contract.?

The number one revenue-grabbing Franchise is going to field one of the most experienced rosters in the league during the upcoming season. Paul can adapt to the Warriors and they can have a lot of motion around his floor management skills. His game complements the rest of the team well and if the Warriors improve their bench, their chances will multiply. However, injuries can always have their say, especially considering the aging roster.?

Perk has legitimate reasons to back the current champions and Jokic-led Nuggets. Meanwhile, the Suns have the trio of Beal, Durant, and Booke. The Lakers had a sold off-season to build around LeBron James whereas the Kings showcased a lot of promise last season, thanks to the duo of Sabonis and Fox.
