According to the latest reports, the $40 billion worth company will be shutting down two of its major offices in the United States of America in the next few years.

Owing to their undeniable dominance over sports media, ESPN has a huge number of offices all around the world and in the country. Two of their biggest offices are in New York and Los Angeles.
Over the past few months, a huge number of commentators and analysts have lost their jobs because of layoffs. 20 millionaires have been fired as ESPN is trying to cut their costs. According to the latest reports on Twitter, ESPN will close their Seaport Offices located in New York by the year 2025. But the bad news doesn’t end here.

Stephen A. Smith has already given warning signs
‘First Take’ host Stephen A. Smith has been under fire ever since the layoffs. The reason being? He earns around $12 million yearly and is one of the highest earners in the media industry. A few months ago, he released a fiery message for his haters while addressing the allegations.

“Ladies and gentlemen, we got a few people at ESPN getting paid more than me. They don’t have the number one show, they don’t have the top ratings, they don’t generate more revenue. How come ya’ll didn’t bring their names out?”, said Smith.
Not only that, but Smith also revealed that he might also lose his job despite his high profile. “And yes, ladies and gentlemen, I could be next”, said the veteran NBA analyst.
