Jamal Murray has been on a high roll since June. After aiding Jokic win his first championship and finals MVP, the Nuggets star is training hard for MMA. In a recent photograph on Twitter, we see him posing with the UFC featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski. However, this isn’t the first time they are posing together. This offseason Murray is training hard with the UFC fighter. A few days ago, the 6 foot 4 point guard also appeared in an Instagram post shared by Volkanovski.

In the photograph, we see Murray immersed in his training session while the UFC champion shows him the ropes. “Get it in champ”, Volk captioned the post. Acknowledging the new champion status of the 26-year-old. The athletes seemed to be friends since Murray started supporting Volk in fights. Furthermore, their bond was strengthened when the NBA champion visited Australia the year prior. Even fans seem to be delighted by the two worlds of MMA and NBA interacting with one another seamlessly.

Will The Nuggets Go Back To Back The Upcoming Season?
The offseason is the time for NBA teams to reinvent their roster learning from mistakes and recalibrating. Although keeping that in consideration, the Denver Nuggets still have a high chance of repeating. Nikola Jokic seems to be at the peak of his powers, performing consistently every game. Simultaneously, even Jamal Murray seems to be more comfortable in his role and understands his contributions are essential for the dub.
