LeBron James returned to the NBA actions after a couple of months of rest to begin his 21st year in the league. Amidst the anticipation, two football players from Colorado Buffaloes visited the 38-year-old. It, interestingly, included Shedeur Sanders, the son of Deion Sanders, also known as Coach Prime.

Following this, the speculation began on the relationship between the two stars of the world of sports. James displayed his connection with Deion through his gesture for his son.

Shedeur and Travis Hunter of Colorado Buffaloes came to watch the Los Angeles Lakers‘ first match of the season. Before the start, they likened themselves to the LeBron-Dwyane Wade duo from the iconic Miami Heat days. “We like LeBron and D-Wade,” Travis stated before Shedeur agreed, saying, “I would say that for sure”.

This exchange between the NCAA Division I made the headlines as they then shot around the court. Soon after that, the game began, which resulted in a disheartening 119-107 loss for James and his side. Despite that, the 38-year-old took time out after the match to show love to the quarterback and the wide receiver.

The 4-time NBA champion went over to their side as Sanders asked, “What up Bron?”.?After exchanging a few words with the youngsters, LeBron showcased his appreciation for the college football stars. “Love y’all boys man,” the 4-time MVP mentioned before the duo requested a jersey from the veteran.

As soon as the King left, Hunter could not contain his excitement any longer as he screamed to display his enthusiasm. The moment put into focus the closeness between Coach Prime and LeBron following the latter’s public display of support. It also shed the spotlight on the cruel nature of basketball, as James had to contain his emotions.

In the realm of fierce competition, an athlete must remain dedicated to the task at hand. LeBron did exactly that as he gave his all in the season opener. Starting his 21st year, the 19-time All-Star had a lot to prove as the Denver Nuggets humiliated them last season.

His mission failed this time around too, but he had to keep his composure following that. James put his mind on the bigger picture as he focused on making the experience of the youngsters more memorable. Fighting through his emotions, the Lakers talisman did exactly that, even in his period of misery.
