Should Knicks fans be worried about Robinson's future after his latest Instagram post?

“You’re going to make it. God is on your side,” Mitchell Robinson positively wrote after his unfortunate injury update. The Knicks‘ six-season experienced center has gone through a roller coaster ride in his career dealing with multiple injuries. He has managed to bounce back each time just like the positive note he had shared. However, hours after revealing his optimistic outlook, the hooper seemed to have backtracked with a worrying note. The question is: is he calling it quits or calling out his perpetrator?

Before we head into the stars concerning message, it’s necessary to take a detour. In the lineup of Mitchell Robinson’s career’s recurring calamity, he sustained an ankle injury last season and forced him to miss 50 games. And the 7 ‘0 big man managed to return to the fold for the postseason and unfortunately, the star aggravated the injury after an ugly play in Game 3 of the First Round.

While the hooper had enough time to recover from the leg surgery, a league source has revealed that Mitchell Robinson won’t return until December/January. Moreover, the NY Post also added that the Knicks aren’t in a hurry to get the star back on the floor. It also highlighted that the center’s return could take longer than expected to avoid another relapse. Amid this unfortunate situation, the 26-year-old found the courage to stay positive with his social media activity.

However, this garden of positivity didn’t exist for too much longer as Mitchell Robinson dropped a cryptic message. He took to his Instagram stories and wrote, “The truth ALWAYS comes out at some point. Keep that in mind.” While the Knicks star has spoken about patience and trust in God, what was this note about suddenly revealing a truth? There isn’t any clarity on any affair to which the Knicks center was referring, nor hint. However, we could put on the detective hats for some time to dig out some news.

Was Mitchell Robinson referring to Joel Embiid?

You may wonder about Joel Embiid‘s sudden appearance on the scene. Well, if you do, you’re late to the party. It’s safe to say that the Cameroonian big man has a huge part in Mitchell Robinson’s injury hiatus. During Game 3 of the First Round in the playoffs, the Philadelphia 76ers center engaged in a nasty play that aggravated the Knicks center’s ankle injury.

In a play where Joel Embiid took a charge from OG Anunoby and fell on the floor. The hooper, spotting the opportunity, dished the ball to Mitchell Robinson, who was standing near the rim to finish the business. However, he unfortunately couldn’t as The Process held on to his ankle from the floor, leaving him in immense pain. Following that, Rob has yet to make the return.

Have an interesting take?

When the refs should have taken serious action against it, he got away with a flagrant 1 foul. Speaking of which, Robinson said, “If I did [Embiid’s takedown], I would’ve been out and suspended… I would’ve been out of there.”

So, the cryptic message could’ve been addressed to Joel Embiid, where he’d prove the refs wrong in some way. Or is he calling it quits? Considering the constant injury breaks, the star might’ve been forced into making a drastic decision. Nevertheless, taking the star’s other positive notes on social media into account, the scenario with him retiring seems completely out of the equation. But what do you make of the cryptic message?
