The 26th of January will always remain an emotional day for the NBA world. Tonight marked the fourth anniversary of the tragic helicopter accident that killed the NBA legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gigi Bryant, along with 7 others. Kyrie Irving took to his X handle and posted a spiritual message, remembering the late superstar.

The message read, Missing you always Bean and Gigi @kobebryant Please continue watching over the Tribe and celebrating with all of our loved ones that are in the spiritual/ancestral realm with y’all. Till we meet again.”

The Dallas Mavericks star, who has openly embraced a spiritual journey in the last few years, took to his own ways to remember the Lakers legend. Following the Mavs’ latest win against the Atlanta Hawks, Irving took to his social media to drop the message. Even though he wasn’t playing, the game, definitely, was a tribute to Bryant.

24-year-old Luka Doncic dropped his career high of 73 points, climbing the top scorer ladder and reaching closer to Bryant’s 81-point game. Moreover, Irving also remembered Bryant a few days ago and credited him for bringing back to the rhythm. After a rusty start to the season, Uncle Drew suddenly picked up the rhythm and dropped at an average 37 points in a five-game streak with a high score of 44.

Speaking of his explosive form, Irving credited his father and Kobe, reported Sports IllustratedHe said, “Just get my right elbow pointed. I talked to my dad a few days ago, and he always loves to remind me to keep my right elbow pointed… That’s something that Kobe used to tell me as well, just as a reminder. And then just take my time, get my feet underneath me.”
