LeBron gives a big nod to Bryce! Tonight, the James family had an important event to attend. It was Bronny’s G League debut. All in the family, including the Lakers management, AD, and D’Lo, marked their presence courtside, at the UCLA Health Training Center. However, 1 person from the James family was missing- Bryce Maximus James. The 17-year-old had a different commitment. While everyone was guessing the reason behind Bryce’s absence, King James himself ended every speculation and revealed it to the world.
Bryce skipped his brother’s sold-out G League debut to participate in his high school Sierra Canyon’s tip-off event. A video of the 17-year-old breaking into a dance went viral on social media. LeBron shared the video on his Instagram stories and wrote, “Ayyyyeeeee.”
A breath of fresh air, for sure! In the last few months, the James family has had tough moments. Last summer, Bronny suffered a cardiac arrest in his freshman year. Speaking of the moment, LeBron, said, “Shout out to the man, above… To the whole coaching staff, training staff, members of that program, thank you so much. They are the reason Bronny is alive now and smiling and thriving and doing what any 19-year-old should be doing, and that’s living out their dream,” in the Netflix docuseries, Starting 5.

Bronny then had a poor freshman year, coming off the bench for USC. Despite that, he entered the NBA draft, amid screams of nepotism and heavy criticism around his game. So, considering the important stage in Bronny’s career, the James family might’ve needed to prioritize heading to UCLA instead of Sierra Canyon. Nevertheless, Bryce seemed unfazed by his parents’ presence or absence and he broke into a spectacular dance move, leaving the crowd assembled in the arena to go haywire!

It’s quite difficult to give undivided attention equally to 3 kids in a family, especially when the media is all over you. While both parents didn’t make it to Bryce’s tip-off event, they managed to give him a shout-out. Moments after LeBron James shared Bryce’s dance moves on his IG stories, Savannah also shared it on her stories and again wrote, “Ayyyyeeeee,” reacting to the dance moves.

Did Bryce make the right call by prioritizing his own event over Bronny's big debut?
Have an interesting take?
Bryce James’ high school exploits have done good things for the 17-year-old, as he continued to prove his skills and he’s already received offers for his college from universities like Ohio State, USC, and Duquesne. Nevertheless, in two years, it wouldn’t be surprising if we witnessed King James lacing up with his second son on the court!
Moreover, ESPN analyst Brian Windhorst once stated that he found Bryce more “naturally talented” than LeBron’s eldest son in an interview! While we are yet to witness him in a professional game, it will again be the same massive hype that Bronny is now creating with his NBA introduction. But the question is- do you think Bryce will surpass Bronny’s performance? Let us know in the comments.
