The Warriors’ misery continues! Well, they headed into tonight’s Grizzlies encounter, hoping to end their two-game losing streak. However, no one could’ve ever imagined what was in store for them. Despite Dennis Schroder making his highly-anticipated debut, Steph Curry and Co. got absolutely decimated and suffered a humiliating 51-point blowout loss. Sure enough, Dub Nation is beginning to get desperate seeing their team struggle. But a floating rumor about Mike Dunleavy’s potential pursuit of Nikola Vucevic has raised hope among fans.
As per veteran insider Evan Sidery, the Bay Area franchise has recently checked in with the Bulls on Vucevic. He also assured, “Golden State has the necessary expiring salaries and draft capital to make a potential deal work with Chicago.” Yes, the $60 million hoopster has been in trade rumors for quite some time, and acquiring him could solve a lot of issues for the Warriors. That’s because Vuc is a solid all-around player, averaging 21.1 points and nearly ten rebounds.
Moreover, some reports suggest that Mike Dunleavy could leverage Dennis Schroder’s contract. Shams Charania recently remarked, “This (Schroder trade) doesn’t keep the Warriors outside the big game hunting. I’m told they remain active in the hunt for a star player and they can aggregate Schroder’s contract in a bigger move later this season.”

Well, Nikola Vucevic could very well be that star player. Of course, adding him would solve the Warriors’ length problem as they currently lack a dominant big man. Sure enough, the trade buzz has got the fans excited.
Dub Nation deems potential Nikola Vucevic trade “Game Changer” amidst Steve Kerr and Co. reigniting unwanted losing streak
As expected, Evan Sidery’s report about GSW’s pursuit of Vucevic has left Dub Nation excited, as comments like, “Would be a game changer” and “If we get him, we r cooking” have begun flooding in. The Warriors have been solid in the back-court with Steph leading the charge. And adding Vucevic alongside him would get the team another elite scorer who they can run a pick-and-roll action with.
Would be a game changer.

Many netizens even analyzed Nikola’s impact away from the ball as one wrote, “Mike get it done GSW will make up for his defensive liabilities.” Although Vucevic is an offensive threat, he is not a very solid rim protector despite his 6’10 frame. However, fans believe that the Bay Area side can work around that weakness by putting elite defenders like Draymond Green alongside him.
Seeing the potential, fans began urging Mike Dunleavy to make the trade happen with messages like “Mike Dunleavy better get this done or im going to crash out” and “Mike is workin miracles on my life.” Well, Dunleavy recently pulled off a blockbuster trade by acquiring Schroder without giving up many key assets. And he could do it again with Vucevic.

Unfortunately, Schroder was unable to live up to the hype on his debut tonight. Despite Steve Kerr putting him in the starting lineup in his very first Warriors game, he struggled miserably and finished with only 5 points on an abysmal two of twelve shooting. But it’s just one game, and he is likely to improve once he adjusts to the new environment.
Meanwhile, Steve Kerr and Co. seem adamant about their win-now approach, despite the severe dip in positive results, as they continue to look for new stars like Vucevic, who can help boost their chances of winning another title.
