The NBA fans cheered with excitement as Stephen Curry faced Dillon Brooks following their beef in the past few years. The Golden State Warriors superstar turned up the heat like a microwave as he showcased exceptional skills in the matchup. During the game, the ‘NBA Villian’ seemed to have no answers to those as Houston Rockets failed to cope with it.

Stephen stole ankles and even clowned the opposition guard as the fans rejoiced about the experience. The humiliation cost the Rockets majorly at that point of the game and the result reflected the same.

The Warriors talisman took the game to Brooks in their recent away match at Toyota Center in Houston. In the fourth quarter, Curry displayed impressive ball-handling skills to confuse the Canadian star. Draymond Green‘s screening also came to aid as it allowed Stephen a bit more time and spacing outside the 3-point line.

The 4-time champion faked out Dillon twice as he stole the 27-year-old’s ankles before scoring a three-pointer. The 35-year-old showcased calmness in actions as he made Brooks jump early before extending the team’s lead to 11. Soon after this, Curry taunted his opposition, mockingly expressing his disbelief in his greatness.

The sequence put forward the nearly unstoppable attacking prowess of the 2-time MVP yet again. At the same time, it exposed Dillon and his lack of necessary skills to guard an elite off-the-ball mover like Stephen. The supposed ‘Villain’ of the league could only put his head down and jog back to offense by the time the ball touched the net.

The visitors held onto their lead in the final moments of the match as they won their third game, 106-95. For the Rockets, their misery tripled as their losing streak extended to three in the opening phase of the game.

What’s next for both teams?

The supporters had high hopes for the Houston side despite their away defeats in both of the previous two matches. In their home opener of the season, nothing changed much as the Dubs came prepared. After this, they have six consecutive home games that must take advantage of to turn their fate around.

As for the Warriors, patience could become a key differentiator. Following the return of Green, they have five away matches in their next six, before their stint of six home games kicks in. With the squad gelling up well in the early stages, gameplay should take precedence over the outcomes.
