Parents of 4, Stephen and Ayesha Curry are well aware of the responsibility every parent holds toward the nurturing of their children. More so now because they recently welcomed their 4th kid, Caius Chai. And with their early parental instincts rushing back once again, the NBA’s power couple was motivated to take a major business decision as they recently invested in USA’s former First Lady Michelle Obama’s venture focused towards giving young children access to better resources.
Yes, expanding the vision that they have already built through their Eat.Learn.Play. Foundation, the Currys have now partnered with Michelle Obama by investing in PLEZi nutrition, which works toward reshaping the food industry by providing healthier snacks and drink alternatives for kids. Making their partnership public through a press release, Steph and Ayesha revealed how their parenthood motivated them to make this move.
“Our kids were the ones that drove our decision to partner with PLEZi Nutrition. PLEZi passed the taste test, and they couldn’t stop drinking it.” Obviously, it helps that the couple has four kids at home who wouldn’t shy away from giving their honest opinions about anything and everything!

“This is important, because it’s our job as parents (and as a culture) to show our kids that health and wellness can be exciting. Food should be joyful, and by teaming up with PLEZi Nutrition, we’re furthering our mission to provide healthier, delicious options for families — making balanced nutrition a fun, easy, and accessible part of everyday life,” the couple remarked setting an example.
Sure enough, the former First Lady welcomed Steph and Ayesha with open arms, “We’re so excited to welcome Stephen and Ayesha Curry to the PLEZi Nutrition family.” Recently launching their inaugural drink PLEZi, which is made with healthier components and relatively less sugar, Steph and Ayesha’s investment and public reach could do wonders to market the product to a bigger audience.
Michelle Obama is in awe of Steph and Ayesha’s work
What might have made this an easy decision for Michelle Obama to choose Steph and Ayesha as her new business partners is their previous record of working toward the empowerment of the kids of Oakland. Through the Eat.Learn.Play. Foundation which the couple founded five years ago they have helped provide quality reading resources, opportunities to stay active, and access to nutritious meals to thousands of underprivileged kids in the community.

More importantly, the ties with PLEZi make perfect sense as Steph and Ayesha have already worked with partners like No Kid Hungry, Community Kitchens, and Brigaid in the past and Michelle Obama’s company can help take this vision forward. “They are true role models. They’re extraordinary at what they do and how they go about their work — with creativity, integrity, and a whole lot of fun.”
“Their commitment to bettering the lives of children and their dedication to promoting healthy lifestyles align perfectly with our vision for PLEZi Nutrition. We can’t wait to team up with them to inspire the next generation toward healthier choices,” The former First Lady remarked, marveling at Steph and Ayesha’s dedication toward providing underprivileged children with a better life.
