Miami Heat is on a three-game losing streak and they will try to turn the tides in their favor as they host the Grizzlies tonight. With a 24-19 record, the Heat are in a comfortable position for now, leading the Southeast Division. Bolstering their backcourt, Miami recently made some major roster changes by sending Kyle Lowry and a future first-round pick to the Hornets to accommodate Terry Rozier.
The 29-year-old guard played his last game with Charlotte on Monday against the Timberwolves which resulted in a 128-125 win. The question is, when will he make his Miami debut? While some think it could be tonight, there is one hurdle that might prevent it from happening.

Although Terry is healthy, he has been listed as questionable on the Heat’s injury list because of his pending trade that is still not finalized. In other words, both teams might be awaiting the results of medical reports and other paperwork before closing the deal. This is to ensure that there are no bumps or discrepancies down the line. So, Terry might likely not suit up for tonight’s game.
However, the Heat fans can finally see him in action during Miami’s next game on Thursday when they host the Celtics. In Charlotte, Terry was leading the team charts in points, with an average of 23.2 ppg, which is also a career-high. He is also bringing in impressive numbers with 3.9 rebounds and 6.6 assists. Comparatively, Terry will overthrow Bam Adebayo in Miami, who was leading the team in terms of points (21.5), and Jimmy Butler in assists (4.4). Terry recently told the media that he was happy to play for Miami.
The hype has finally arrived
As Terry landed in Florida after the trade, he expressed his joy and excitement, referring to Miami as home. “I don’t even know what to say… it ain’t all the way hit me but you know, this is home for me, I feel good. You know, I’m ready to get started. I’m glad to be a part of Heat culture, let’s get it. Ya’ll gonna see, you know, what all the hype about,” he said. Terry can fit in as a great complementary creator and scorer for the Heat.

He has already proved this season that he can produce incredible numbers when given the opportunity. Moreover, as a title contender, the Heat takes a huge win with this deal. Kyle Lowry is deteriorating, and his chances of getting better are slim to none. So, on paper, it makes sense to switch gears from a 37-year-old player on a decline to a 29-year-old player who is having a career year. With Terry on board, the offense could see a significant improvement.
