Over the years, Draymond Green has built a bad reputation among fans because of his on-court antics. This season alone, Green served two lengthy suspensions for putting his hands on opponents during the game. First, it was the choke hold on Rudy Gobert, and then a few days later, it was the brutal hit to Jusuf Nurkic. So, when Draymond joined Shaq and the rest of the TNT crew on Inside the NBA tonight, fans were quick to point out the irony after the entire panel received a special gift from pro wrestling company AEW.

After the thrilling Dallas vs. Minnesota game, every member of the TNT panel received a custom AEW Championship belt replica along with exclusive Championship sneaker belts during the postgame show. The gesture was mainly to promote AEW’s Wednesday night Dynamite show and the crew loved it.

Shocked at how heavy the belts were, Shaq already started making plans about what he was going to do with the gift, “I’m rocking this to the hookah bar tonight!” Not to forget, Shaq has already been a part of the AEW World fighting a mixed tag team match against Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet three years ago on Dynamite while partnering with Jade Cargill. So, he understood the importance of those belts.

Meanwhile, Draymond was also busy admiring the gift from AEW and claimed, “This is very fitting.” Maybe he thought that the belt would go well with his four rings or maybe he was just buying into the narrative some have created about him trying out wrestling moves on the court. Whatever the case, Draymond loved the belt and wore it on his waist for the rest of the segment.

“Collector” Draymond Green takes over NBA World

After watching Draymond Green’s reaction to holding the AEW Championship belt, many fans believed pro wrestling might be the perfect next step for his career. And sharing the same sentiment, one fan wrote, “Draymond Green and Pro Wrestling is meant to be. need AEW to sign him as soon as he retires.”

Not many players in NBA history have had more physical altercations on the court than Draymond. And with him in the later stages of his career and nearing retirement, fans could foresee him trying his hands at wrestling in the future.

Meanwhile, one fan was so confused to see Shaq and Draymond holding a Championship that he wondered if the picture was even real.

A netizen even warned Shaq to not be confused between AEW and WWE belts because he very recently wrestled in Tony Khan’s organization. From delivering a powerbomb to Cody Rhodes, to going through a table, Shaq produced some iconic AEW moments three years ago.

Watching Draymond hold the AEW title, one fan resurfaced an old image of Green showcasing his WWE Championship and deemed him a “collector.”

While fans continued to crack jokes at Shaq and Draymond, one person was just happy that Charles Barkley finally got his Championship. Throughout the show, Chuck has always been mocked by Shaq for not having won a title. Well, tonight it all changed. Kind of!

While we have seen Shaq enter the squared circle multiple times on both WWE and AEW, Draymond has yet to take that leap. But knowing his business acumen, he might not shy away from that opportunity if it presents itself in the future. Do you agree?
