With the All-Star Weekend having concluded a few days ago, the NBA regular season is back on track and moving forward in full swing. As part of the games to be held today, the Dallas Mavericks and the Phoenix Suns are competing against each other for the third time this season. With the Mavericks just two positions behind their rival on the position, fans are waiting to see whether the 2011 championship team can gain much-needed momentum to make a mark. Amongst the crowd awaiting to watch the highly anticipated game were NFL player Micah Parsons and 25-year-old professional boxer Ryan Garcia.

The presence of the two athletes in the American Airlines Center Arena was not missed by the people. The official X account of the NBA made use of the opportunity to upload a video, highlighting Parsons taking a quick moment to pose alongside Garcia for a photo. Parsons was seen donning a black cap, a gray hoodie, and a pair of Nike footwear. Garcia, on the other hand, chose to go with a more formal and stylish look by cladding himself in white and donning a pair of formal black footwear.

Parsons has been a member of the five-time Super Bowl Championship team Dallas Cowboys for over 3 years now. Therefore, fans can assume that the 24-year-old linebacker was looking to support his local NBA team. While many have not yet made a connection to Garcia and the NBA, it was still a great feeling to see the 2021 lightweight title holder cheering on for his favorite basketball team.

Micah Parsons shined brightly during the NBA-All Star Celebrity Game

Despite being known for his prowess on the American Football field, Micah Parsons has shown from time to time just how much he is a basketball aficionado. His interest in the sport, combined with his experience with varsity basketball, is probably what led to him participating in the recent NBA All-Star-Weekend Celebrity Game.

Parsons took his athletic talent to the basketball court and played alongside Shannon Sharpe’s team, who were looking to gain a victory over Team Stephen A Smith. Just like on the football field, the linebacker was seen making an array of moves and delivering some impactful dunks. For a celebrity game that is supposed to be casual, the NFL player was not holding back. Team Shannon Sharpe eventually won the game by a score of 100-91. Since Parsons ended up securing 37 points, 4 steals, and 16 rebounds for his team, he was presented with the MVP honor.
