Nike and Forza just announced a new collaboration, featuring Mavericks’ leader Luka Doncic at its center! The 25-year-old’s Nike Jordan Luka-3 was meant to be the star of the show. Thus, from the day the news broke to the unveiling of the final ‘motorsport’ product, the excitement has stayed high! Now that it’s free, the hype for the Slovenian hooper shoots up further.

The video game industry is a billion-dollar one. This has been the case for many years now. Therefore, high-profile collaborations and investments in this line have usually been a success. In 2022, the revenue from the worldwide gaming market was estimated at almost $347 billion. Statista reports the mobile gaming market generated $248 billion, making Luka Doncic’s tie-in perfect.

Releasing the model of the ‘1969 Chevrolet Camaro Jordan Luka 3 Motorsport Edition’, this will be free and available to all players. This collab will see low-slung Camaro features and design elements from Nike’s Luka 3 shoe, created through a licensing deal. Forza Motorsport players can also unlock a special Jordan Luka 3 Racing Suit by completing the 5-event Jordan Luka 3 Motorsport Series in-game.

The Jordan Luka 3 shoe features mint, purple, and pink tones inspired by sports car dashboards priced at $130. Moreover, the design reflects the hooper’s custom 1968 Chevy Camaro, which has the Jordan logo imprinted on it! He provided input throughout the design process and has a 5-year contract extension with Jordan Brand. However, while the Slovenian giant rejoices about his new venture and is bound to be highly appreciated by a new set of fans, the upcoming season is surely occupying a lot of his mind space.

Could Luka Doncic be the MVP next season despite his absence from the team?

The star shooting guard is currently one of the best players in the NBA. This is the reason why the Dallas Mavericks revolve around him. Although, the superstar has missed the LA-based training camp and other pre-season commitments in the last few months. Regardless, the team wants to provide everything in its power to facilitate Luka Doncic’s gameplay. Under a long-term contract with the Mavs, the 25-year-old could find his way to becoming the MVP of the 2024-25 season. Most importantly, Gilbert Arenas firmly believes, Klay Thompson will be of great help in the Dallas dream.

The former Warrior also thinks Klay Thompson will boost the Slovenian hooper’s MVP chances. Besides, Luka Doncic could average a triple-double this season, which was last achieved by Russell Westbrook in 2020-21. The Doncic-Thompson duo will increase scoring and playmaking. While stat-padding claims may surface, Doncic’s MVP prospects are strong, and a championship would be a big plus.

He was present and played in the farewell game for Slovenian legend Goran Dragic in Ljubljana at the Night of the Dragon charity fundraiser, alongside players like Nikola Jokic, Boban Marjanovic, and many more. Thus, it may seem like the 25YO is staying away from the Dallas boys, but in truth, he’s away in his country relishing the offseason and involving himself in special events.
