In the process, the Mavericks became the fourth team in NBA history to post ten consecutive 50-victory seasons. In the 2010–11 season, the Mavericks secured their first NBA championship. Despite being favored to lose, they stormed through behind their offense and teamwork. Following that successful season, the team struggled with early playoff eliminations yet again.</span>

<span data-preserver-spaces="true">In the 2012–13 season, the Mavericks faced challenges and missed the playoffs for the first time since 2000. The following seasons saw a declining performance from the aging star player. Soon, the Mavericks traded another international talent in the 2018 NBA draft. From 2019 to 2021, the Mavericks returned as playoff contenders. In the 2021–22 season, they finished with a 52–30 record, securing the fourth seed in the Western Conference and winning their first playoff series since 2011. In the 2022-23 season, despite a strong start and significant star player additions, the team couldn't maintain its performance and failed to make the playoffs.</span>
