Luka Doncic Plays Peacemaker for Devin Booker as Mavs Teammate Unleashes Rage Amid Christmas Encounter

Phoenix Suns faced the Dallas Mavericks and the fiery rivalry was reignited. The Suns were defeated by the Mavericks with 128-114 as Luka Doncic produced a 50-point carnage.  The signs of animosity were visible from the start and it had turned almost ugly. The animosity in the atmosphere was not due to the history of the two teams alone but due to the rivalry between the players.

Luka Doncic and Devin Booker are engaged in a feud. So is Grant Williams with Devin. As the two stars chose to resort to physical interaction, Luka Doncic answered with peace and of course, 50 points.

Luka Doncic’s white flag in Booker-Williams feud

Devin Booker and Grant Williams got locked into each other as Kevin Durant was going for the jam. The jersey of Booker was torn from the back as the two stars wanted to take the feud further. Others intervened and Luka Doncic whose antics caught the attention in the morning tried his best to pacify the stars. Other players rushed to be the firefighters.

Luka Doncic crossed the 10000-point mark in the game. He had a feud with Luka Doncic in 2022. Luka’s performance propelled the underdogs to the semi-finals. When they lost two matches, Devin Booker had some words for Doncic. The Slovenian star chose to answer through his performance. Mavericks went to clean sweep the rest of the seven games. In the 2023 regular season too, the rivalry between the two seemed to run deep.

Booker faced a two-front war in the hardwood. Grant Williams too was there along with Luka Doncic. The former was doing well in the Boston Celtics till he was traded to the Dallas Mavericks after underperforming in the 2023 playoffs. After he was traded to his new team, Willaims had almost predicted the event that took place today.

Grant Williams delivers on a promise

After Williams came to play in the new franchise, he has been taking a great deal of risk with his words. In a conversation with JJ Reddick, the star took on the trash-talking of Devin Booker. he shared that Booker trash-talks to him always referring to his matches played against the Phoenix Suns.

“He said something, I made a three and from then on it, like, lit something in me,” he said. Williams was also critical about the celebration of the Sun’s star. “I was doing too small, I don’t ever celebrate and do like, put my hand on the ground and rock a baby and stuff like that…I remember talking trash the entire game to Book because for some reason he always likes to chirp” he shared.

Williams had however stated that he was going to settle the scores with Booker as Lika Doncic too is in the camp. “I think that actually helps because we’re in Dallas now and Phoenix and him and Luka have this little beef going…so I might be able to join on on some awesome competitive vibes“, he said.
