Better get your popcorn ready because the LeBron James—Stephen A. Smith beef is starting to heat up. After the Lakers star appeared on The Pat McAfee Show and addressed his viral on-court confrontation with the ESPN analyst, Stephen A. jumped on his podcast and responded with some serious accusations: “I want to say for the record, LeBron James is full of it. And in this particular instance, as it pertains to his son, he is a liar.”

Smith also addressed how he would have reacted had the confrontation turned physical: “I would have gotten my a– kicked because if that man put his hands on me, I would have immediately swung on him. That I’m not gonna tolerate.” Yes, the media veteran claims he would not have hesitated in throwing hands at LeBron in case of a fight. But it looks like the four-time champ isn’t buying Stephen A.’s threat.

In a brutal response, LeBron put the ESPN analyst in his place with his latest Instagram post. The post contains two videos. First—A viral 2020 video of Stephen A. boxing with a trainer in New York, throwing awkward left and right jabs. The second was a hilarious ‘whomp whomp’ meme mocking the analyst’s fighting skills.

LBJ captioned it, “🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 WHOMP WHOMP WHOMPPPPPPPP.” Adding insult to injury, his running mate, Luka Doncic, liked the post just minutes after it was published. It’s clear where the Slovenian star’s allegiance lies in this seemingly lopsided beef.

Of course, LeBron would have a clear advantage over Smith in case of a fight because of his 6’9, 250 lb frame. And for the simple fact that he is a professional athlete in peak physical form. Meanwhile, the ESPN veteran is reportedly 6’1 with a much smaller reach. So most people would have their bets on LeBron to beat Stephen A.

But it looks like the Lakers star is also winning the verbal battle.

LeBron James’ ‘villain arc’ continues as he roasts Stephen A. Smith on his home court

For the majority of his career, LeBron has stayed silent even when media personnel have publicly criticized him. But the situation with Stephen A. Smith seems different. Of course, this time, his son, Bronny, is involved, and the ‘Akron Hammer’ had an issue with Smith’s constant personal digs and criticism of the James Gang. That’s why the Lakers star is not holding back one bit.

During his appearance on Pat McAfee’s show, James blasted Stephen A. on his own network. “He’s like on a Taylor Swift tour run right now,” he said, obviously, referring to the analyst’s constant media appearances since the LeBron confrontation. Then, LeBron speculated how happy Smith would have been when the video of their altercation was made public, giving the analyst another topic to discuss on air, “Motherf—–, are you kidding me? If there’s one person that couldn’t wait for the video to drop so you could address it is your a–.”

But the final nail in the coffin? LeBron trolling Smith, saying, “He’s gonna be happy as hell smiling from ear to ear when he hears me talking about him again. He’s gonna get home and grab some ice cream out his f—— freezer and sit in his chair. In his tighty whities on the couch.” Even Pat McAfee couldn’t help but laugh at LBJ’s vivid description.

With his latest post, it doesn’t look like LeBron is going to back down anytime soon as he dives deeper into his ‘villain arc.’ And surely, Stephen A. Smith will respond to the Lakers star’s latest roast the next time he’s on air. While Luka has seemingly picked his side, who’s your pick in this heavyweight clash??
