The energy is finally good in the Bay Area. The Warriors, amid their struggling times, managed to pull off a 2-game winning streak and the latest one came against the mighty OKC Thunder. Stephen Curry, on the other hand, saved himself from embarrassment with late game surge, helping the Dubs get over the line. Now that the Bay Area is in a ‘Good Vibes Only’ mood, the superstar along with his wife, Ayesha Curry, amped it up with a special social media post that subtly promoted TikTok’s replacement.
It wasn’t a tough time just for the Dubs fans but also for everyone who thrived on the short-form video platform, TikTok. The US government recently banned it indefinitely. All that the users saw was “Sorry, TikTok isn’t available right now. A law banning TikTok has been enacted in the U.S.”
While the public had mixed opinions over the government’s decision, some set of people had already found an alternative. It’s RedNote, a Chinese-based social media and e-commerce platform that has recently become popular among former TikTok users. While the app had already topped the Apple App Store free app charts in the US, Curry looked to further fuel it.

Stephen Curry & Co. celebrates Lunar New Year
Whenever there is a game at Chase Center, the management picks up a theme and makes it a wholesome experience for the fans at the building. However, the team’s latest theme to honor Lunar New Year isn’t just another set piece. It is much more than that. Maybe even a cultural event. Earlier this month, the team announced various activities spread across January and February to celebrate and honor the Asian heritage.
With All-Star weekend coming in a few days, the management has planned community events, special activities, and giveaways for the fans. With a part of San Francisco, Thrive City, and Union Square, celebrating the Lunar Year by displaying snake statues until March 2nd, it would be a great oversight not to recognize the tradition.
