The Warriors vs the T-Wolves on Tuesday ended in a sour mood as three players got ejected after getting into a scuffle. Klay Thompson got into a physical altercation with the Wolves’ Jaden McDaniels that resulted in his jersey being torn out. Rudy Gobert stepped in to push Thompson away. However, Draymond got in the way and took Gobert away in a headlock.
It didn’t take more than two minutes into the game for this fight to erupt, and it resulted in Draymond, Thompson, and McDaniels being ejected from the game. Speaking about the brawl, legendary Clippers star Lou Williams calls out Rudy Gobert for going easy on Draymond even after being held in a headlock by the DrayMagic.

During an interview with Run It Back, Lou says, “We would’ve just liked to see Rudy just fight back a little bit.” Draymond is known for his hotheadedness and explosive reactions on the court, and Lou suggests that it is about time that Rudy puts on a brave front as well. “KAT [Karl-Anthony Towns] is one of those guys that he needs a punch on his resume. Rudy Gobert needs a punch on his resume that kinda gets guys off of him,” he says.

According to Lou, this would help Rudy ward off trouble in the future. As for Draymond, Lou says he doesn’t need that punch on his resume, because, “We know he bout that life.” In fact, Lou says that Rudy should’ve gone for a punch or two, without just accepting the situation and taking the peaceful route.

The aftermath of the melee
After the entire ordeal went down, sources reported that the NBA was investigating the matter by reviewing tapes and interviews to come to a ruling. After deliberation, the league has decided to suspend Draymond for five games without pay. This is Draymond’s second ejection in a week.
In comparison, Thomspon and McDaniels haven’t been suspended, but they are liable to pay a fine of $25,000 each to the league as a repercussion. After all, it all started with the two of them shoving and pushing each other.
