LeBron James makes history! The Lakers superstar became the first player in the league to play alongside his son. This is something the whole NBA world saw coming from a mile away. However, what’s the emotion behind it? How does the man feel after toiling hard in the league for 21 years, now having his son beside him? Well, the answer is simple. King James had overflowing emotions. Let’s find out more from the superstar and his wholesome moment with Savannah James after the game.

Poetically, the Lakers also produced a commanding win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, while restricting the visitors to a 103-110 loss. Following the game, the on-court interview wasn’t with Anthony Davis, who scored a game-high 36 points with 16 rebounds, but with the man who created history.

LeBron James and Bronny joined the interview together and interviewed asked James Sr., how much the moment matters to him. The Akron Hammer said, “It’s family. Family over everything. And for me, I lost a lot of time because of this league, committing to this league, being on road at times, missing a lot of his things, Bryce’s things, Zhuri’s things.” After this emotional confession, James made one thing very clear: to make the most of it. He continued, “So to be having this moment, I am working still and I am going to work alongside my son. One of the greatest gifts I got from the man above. I’m going to take full advantage of it.

Every ardent NBA fan must be aware of the tragic incident last summer that shook the James family. Ahead of Bronny’s freshman season, the young gun suffered a cardiac arrest at USC’s practice facility. Even though the situation was brought under control, it dampened the rising star’s balling, keeping him off the court for a few months.

Even after making a tough return, it wasn’t an easy journey for the young man, as he had to put up with constant scrutiny. Speaking of her son’s life-threatening condition, Savannah James said, “It was tough. I think we processed it differently. I think at the end of the day, it was just about us supporting each other, and just being super grateful for the outcome,” with a teary-eye in the latest docuseries, Starting 5.

Nevertheless, it’s unfair to expect the critics to keep his past heart complications in mind whenever Bronny plays. Now that the 20-year-old has made his way into the league, it’s time for him to improve as a player and cement his spot alongside his father. Tonight, he received a 3-odd-minute stay on the court but couldn’t make an impact. Do you think Bronny will need some time in the G-League before setting foot again on an NBA court?
