The game between the Timberwolves and the Lakers is scheduled to tip-off by 8:00 PM, Eastern Time at the Target Center in Minneapolis. It promises to be an intriguing watch, as two title challengers face each other. The Minnesota Timberwolves have taken the league by storm with their suffocating defense. Currently, they are perched on top of the Western Conference standings. Whereas, the Lakers have shown glimpses of their quality, they haven’t been as consistent as the Timberwolves. The task on hand could have been much tougher for the Lakers, as till a few hours ago they faced the prospect of facing the conference leaders without LeBron and Anthony Davis.

However, as per the latest update, LeBron may end up playing the game after all, despite his illness. Moreover, Anthony Davis and Cam Reddish have also been officially upgraded to available, according to Mike Trudell.

Apart from LeBron, the Lakers had also listed Davis as questionable for tonight’s game due to a left ankle sprain. Thankfully, they seem to have recovered enough. However, the Lakers will likely miss the services of Gabe Vincent for the foreseeable future due to a knee injury. Meanwhile, the Timberwolves have most of their key players fit and ready for the game against the Lakers. However, they have listed Karl Anthony-Towns as questionable due to left knee soreness.

This season, the Lakers have been very inconsistent, and their recent performances are proof of that. They have only won four of their last ten games. If the Lakers have ambitions of the NBA title, then they must address their patchy form. Winning against the conference leaders would be a good start. The Lakers could begin the game with LeBron, D’Angelo Russell, Cam Reddish, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Anthony Davis.
