As the final decision on the Lakers’ coaching vacancy is due today, the NBA media is in a flurry of emotions, going from funny to almost serious reactions. Nobody knows what to believe right now, but everyone has adorned their Sherlock Holmes hats to investigate this matter further. Several accounts on X have tweeted about the future of the Lakers with Dan Hurley. The people behind these accounts have hunted down their sources, aiming to beat the usual suspects of Woj & Shams to the news, leaving the NBA World in chaos. It all started with Brian Windhorst on ESPN when he said that the Lakers were on the edge about the decision. Soon after, we saw the UConn practice session getting postponed.

A source earlier tweeted that the session would be at 11 AM but then the source said, the time was moved ahead to 2:00 PM EST. Everyone is assuming this is the time when anything can happen – either Hurley goes back to UConn or decides to shares the visionary future for the Lakers with Rob Pelinka and Jeanie Buss.

Hurley currently lives in New Jersey, born and bred in the northeastern parts of the country. It will be fun to see him on the west coast if he decides to take the position up.

While people speculate his New Jersey house to be put up on sale in the near future, there’re already media standing outside UConn to get a glimpse or a tiny sliver of any information.

The original source that tweeted the time for the UConn practice session to be changed also tweeted that there are a lot of police on standby, in case things get crazy outside the campus.

The fan shares that this could be how Dan Hurley walks into practice today at 2 o’clock, as Jordan Belfort (played by Leo DiCaprio) did in the movie.

There’s another fan stating how Dan Hurley could be going back to UConn for the practice session – in a private jet!
