2x NBA champ and marred with injuries, Kawhi Leonard never backs down. After missing the first 31 games, when he returned, Ty Lue let out a sigh of relief. James Harden wouldn’t have to singlehandedly pull a game to the finishing line for the LA Clippers. But wait, the team is super cautious about the Klaw and his comforts and discomforts in the games. Restricted minutes and a considerable amount of rest for the 33-year-old forward could help the team make use of Kawhi better.

So, he did have a brilliant game on January 15 against the Brooklyn Nets where he scored 23 points in the 24 minutes he spent on the court. The Clippers won 126-67 against the Nets creating a franchise history of winning with a massive margin of 59 points. That’s beside the point. Kawhi Leonard has yet to play more than 21 minutes in any of his first three outings this season.

Meanwhile, LA Clippers has given some major updates on the Klaw and his possible return to the court on Sunday against the LA Lakers. Kawhi Leonard is ready to suit up against the Lakers. The Clippers have left him off their latest injury report, a promising sign for the upcoming clash. That is great news as the power forward will be back in action after playing his role against the Nets on Tuesday. Kawhi missed the game vs. the Trail Blazers as it was a back-to-back and the team surely wanted to give him some rest.

On the other hand, concerns are looming at large for the veteran point guard James Harden and three other players of the Clippers. It seems like the important keys are questionable for Sunday’s Los Angeles vs. Los Angeles showdown. Harden has taken over the ‘spot of importance’ since Paul George’s exit this season. Therefore, not having him on the team, could make the game vs. the Lakers a difficult one.

The Clippers are preparing themselves for their cross-town rivals, in an all-Western Conference matchup vs. the mighty Lakers on Sunday. Intuit Dome will be lit up with cheers for the home team, as Kawhi Leonard will suit up and play the game. But, there are uncertainties around the availability of four key players. The list includes: James Harden, Norman Powell, Ivica Zubac, and Kris Dunn.

Harden is listed as questionable on the injury report due to an illness. The former MVP played a significant role against the Portland Trail Blazers where the Clippers won 118-89 on Thursday. Meanwhile, 1x NBA champ Norman Powell is dealing with lower back soreness thus marking himself as questionable.

On the other hand, Zubac is battling the same injury as Powell and Kris Dunn has a left knee soreness. As you can guess, four important names on the roster might not be available for Sunday’s big clash. But then, the team is keeping a day-to-day tab, so you never know who might suit up.
