“Unfortunately, they are just at the age and at the stage of their careers with so much wear and tear that no matter how you slice it, they’re gonna miss some games.” It was only a few days ago that Steve Kerr acknowledged the harsh reality of Draymond Green and Stephen Curry. Well, the Bay is feeling the effects of having two aging superstars, who’re spearheading the next generation, constantly deal with injury concerns. Green has missed the last two games because of an illness. Turns out, he could miss another one tonight as the Warriors boss dropped a concerning update about Dray’s health ahead of the Wolves clash.
As the former DPOY’s status remains questionable, Steve Kerr shed light on how bad the situation is, “More illness today. He woke up not feeling well at all and came to the shootaround and looked like a ghost. He was hoping that he would be better after a nap this afternoon with some hydration. He’s not been well.”
Yes, Draymond Green has been nowhere near 100% because of the recent illness. Moreover, he’s also been dealing with and playing through back issues. Adding to the tension, he wasn’t spotted at the morning shootaround, per Anthony Slater.

Steve Kerr said Draymond Green woke up feeling terrible, looked like “a ghost” at shootaround, took a nap and hydrated in hopes to play tonight, but team deemed him too sick.

If he doesn’t suit up tonight, that would be a massive blow to the team because Green has been in solid form when healthy, averaging 8.7 points and over six rebounds. He is also the defensive anchor and vocal leader of the squad. Unfortunately, he is not the only Warriors player dealing with injury concerns. Even Kyle Anderson will sit out tonight’s game. The reason? Hamstring soreness.
Well, the 31-year-old has been a solid backup forward for Steve Kerr’s team and is averaging 5.4 points and over three rebounds. Surely, the Warriors are at risk of losing to the Wolves without two of their star forwards. But a key player’s return could save the day!

Steve Kerr willing to “fight” despite Draymond Green’s uncertainty, as Bay Area veteran is cleared for return
With Draymond Green’s availability uncertain, his team could be playing tonight’s game extremely shorthanded. But Steve Kerr has not given up and is ready to put his best foot forward with what he has got. “Just fight. We gotta fight. We will mix and match some combinations and see what we can do.” Yes, the head coach highlighted that he has the option of playing small ball and relying on his fast-pace offense, or match-up against the Wolves bigs with the players he has available. “We’ll see what we can do,” he added.
Well, one good news is that Gary Payton II has finally been cleared for return. Yes, he had been out for the last 10 games with a calf strain. His availability will surely add more depth to the team. Moreover, Payton is a versatile guard who can play multiple positions, which will come in handy amid other players’ absences. So, do you think the Golden State Warriors can sneak a win despite Dray’s bad health and Slo Mo’s absence?
