Lonnie Walker IV has had an unstable NBA career lately. Fortunately, it was all put to rest by the Philadelphia 76ers, giving a much-needed chance to prove for the 26-year-old. After a four-season stint with the Spurs, Walker has played for three different franchises in the last three seasons along with an international stint.
Despite his promising effort on the court, the guard remained overlooked. However, the Warriors fans necessarily won’t forget the man, as he single-handedly ended the Dubs’ playoff stint in 2023. He sprung out of nowhere in Game 4 of the Western Conference semi-finals and dropped 15 points in the 4th quarter to help the Lakers come out of the deficit and win the game. It ultimately put the LA side 3-1 up in the series.
While everyone thought Lonnie would go on to become a Lakers sensation, he ended up becoming a free agent. In the 2023-24 season, the Brooklyn Nets signed him up for a season and again left in free agency. Following that, the Celtics tried its luck ahead of the 2024-25 season but waived his Exhibit-10 contract before the start of the season, forcing him to join the Lithuanian Basketball League. Eventually, the Sixers called him back into the league amid their concerning season.
