But they share that record with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Had they lost tonight, the Pistons would have been the only team to hold that record with 29 consecutive losses. They nearly snapped their losing streak in the last game against the Celtics after they took them to overtime. Many fans expected the Pistons to win tonight after their commendable effort in the last game. And the Pistons proved them right. The fans in the Little Caesars Arena celebrated the win like they had won a playoff series.

Even though the Pistons’ season has been terrible, they have got something positive out of this run. Cade Cunningham has proved that he can be a superstar in the league with his impressive performance and heart throughout the losing streak. Cade played his heart out in every game to snap the Pistons’ losing streak. In the last 6 games, he has averaged 32.5 points, 8.2 assists, and 5.3 rebounds.

Tonight, Cade also became the first Piston since Chauncey Billups in 2007 to score 30+ points and 10+ assists with 0 turnovers. Even though Cade was happy after tonight’s historic win, he realized that this was only their third win of the season.
