Being a mom in the James household can be a tasking job, but Savannah James does that immaculately. Holding the fort in LeBron’s absence has made Savannah the woman she is today. And Mrs James doesn’t hesitate to share the experience gathered in that journey with those in need. Apart from being a masterful businesswoman, Savannah has pledged to help those in need, especially when it comes to relationships. But sometimes Savannah finds herself in a no man’s land and that’s exactly what recently happened.

On the Everybody’s Crazy podcast, both Savannah and her co-host, April McDaniel, answer calls where listeners share their stories or seek advice. On the latest episode, they were joined by Draymond Green’s wife, Hazel Green, hair artist Malaika Frazier, celebrity photographer Raven Varona, and content creator Porsha Ellis to help them tackle the calls. A caller came up with a complicated marriage-related issue which had all six of them deep in thought.

The caller shared that her “crazy” situation was that she’s been dating a longtime friend for a year, who’s currently going through a divorce. She fears their relationship might end up on the same path. All of them offered their advice, suggesting that she should allow her partner to fully settle his divorce before moving forward with their relationship. After the call was over, Malaika had a question for the married ladies, Savannah and Hazel.

She wanted to know whether it’s hard for them to have a conversation about a marriage issue as complicated as the one they just heard. To which Savannah answered in the affirmative, finding it difficult to confront the caller’s reality. “For me, it is,” she said, reflecting her vulnerable side. “Sometimes I’d be like, I can’t really, I know what I got going on. So to give my two cents about it, I try, let me stay in this relationship. It’s hard.”

Savannah Brinson became Mrs. James 11 years ago on September 14, 2013, after spending more than a decade in a relationship with LeBron. Three kids later, she still finds it difficult to have marital discussions, especially when the issues are as complex as the ones shared by the discreet caller.

The show has revealed a new side of Savannah that many people didn’t know about. While some might assume that being the wife of a Lakers superstar would naturally mean she would have several connections, the 38-year-old believes that genuine relationships don’t just happen on their own; they require effort and work.

After LeBron’s move to LA, Savannah had to put herself out there to build new connections in the city, she disclosed that in the episode. “I was talking to a young lady before on the phone,” she said, “I’m just like even if that’s giving a compliment or telling somebody you like, they bust that I don’t know. But just putting yourself out there to engage and have a genuine connection or genuine just exchange.”

She believes that such interactions could lead to something fruitful and that in the process, one can find a genuine companion. She then added, “So, I started doing that.” Savannah does have a close circle of friends whom she’s often spotted spending time with. Whether it’s on the courtside at LeBron’s games or in more private settings, she definitely knows how to balance her social life.
