After spending eights seasons with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Karl-Anthony Towns has found himself amidst trade talks. Notably, the conversation surrounding the trade seeped in right after Anthony Edwards’ FIBA outburst. Highlight reels, Michael Jordan comparisons, and hype videos took over the internet world ahead of the games. Moreover, it couldn’t be in the preseason as well. Subsequently, the NBA world witnessed a rapid trade for KAT with the New York Knicks. Following that, an ex-NBA Champion has now suggested a spot alongside LaMelo Ball.

The Charlotte Hornets and Ball have had a lonely journey in the NBA so far. The team barely made any progress since MJ had invested in it. Now that MJ sold the majority ownership of the franchise, talks about pairing Melo with a star player takes birth. The ultimate question is, will Towns’ inclusion be the answer for Hornets’ continued disappointment?

After the inclusion of Rudy Gobert to the Wolves in the previous season, the team couldn’t reach the desired destination in the playoffs. Along with that, experts and fans felt that Anthony Edwards has slowly replaced Karl-Anthony Towns as the franchise leader. As a chain reaction, the rapid trade talks of Towns have also taken the center stage. In that lineup, Jeff Teague, who won his NBA ring with the Milwaukee Bucks, picked a new home for KAT.

In the recent episode of Club 520 Podcast, he expressed his views on Towns’ upcoming stage in his career. He pointed out that Edwards was taking the center stage and said, “KAT still only like 27 yeah and he’s not even nowhere close to his prime.” Moreover, he suggested a change in franchise to bring out the best in him. He further added, “Let KAT give with LaMelo… they will be nice.”

Following that, other fellow panelists also unanimously agreed to Teague’s statement and rooted for the trade.
