“Anytime I’m playing basketball, anytime I’m out here breathing, anytime I’m out here walking, I am having fun and I am grateful,” said Bronny James, when he scored his career 31 points two weeks ago. The 20-year-old doesn’t seem to leave out on his rare streak of form. He struck again. Taking on the Phoenix Suns’ G-League affiliate, James Jr. dropped 28 points and earned yet another post-game interview. However, it wasn’t an easy night for the young lad, as he almost went through a career-altering injury.

Career-altering? That word isn’t anything new for someone who battled a cardiac arrest and managed to get a spot in the Lakers’ fold. Yes, tough kid. Last night, during a possession, Bronny ran down the lane and took for a dunk. At the last moment, he had to change his direction mid-air because of a converging defender at the rim. Well, that’s what basketball is all about.

Taking countless lessons from his dad, Bronny James effortlessly made that dunk possible. However, the follow-through wasn’t that great. The 20-year-old couldn’t hold on to the rim after the dunk and took a nasty fall on his back. He laid on for a moment and even checked his hands before resuming the play. To be honest, it was pretty alarming. Following the game, the interviewer asked if he was okay, and he instantly said, I’m good. I’m good. I’m good. I’m a tough cookie is what they say. Imma be alright.”

He took to his IG stories, sharing the highlight reel of the dunk, Bron wrote, “Keep building & stacking days young,” with a prince emoji. We all know what Bron is preparing his son for. A future King.

Bronny James continues to climb up the ladder

Not very long ago, Bronny James was equated to an underwhelming product of nepotism. And it’s about time, the rising star has begun to blossom as a professional baller in front of the world. To be honest, the world hasn’t seen the youngster drop those big 30-pointers in his career yet.

Playing in his college, he was under-prepared for the season, recovering from a heart condition. He checked into the game off the bench and never really shined on the offensive end. It ultimately created an image that James Jr. wasn’t talented enough. But in reality, he was underdeveloped.

We come in with the Lakers, ready to get better every day learn from every day so I feel like it is just building on every day from there so it’s been going good so far.” The young lad is hungry for more and looking to learn.
