Whether you are a hoops enthusiast or not, well, the world is still getting used to seeing LeBron James and Bronny as teammates. After all, they are the first active father-son duo in NBA history. While they continue to create ‘moments’ on the court, the 22-season veteran has already begun taking on new roles for his son. This time, he was a beat reporter and a manager as he urged a reputable $31 billion video game franchise to fulfill a unique wish, which would put the rookie in the same ranks as KD and Devin Booker.
In his latest tweet, LeBron James wrote, “Bronny just said he want his own “Skin”. @Activision @CallofDuty talk to me.” Obviously, we all know that the Lakers rookie is an avid gamer and, as it turns out, he hopes to have a playable character on COD modeled after him! When you are as influential as King James, you’d have the luxury to directly call the creators and owners to facilitate a fantasy.
Sure enough, the only two hoopers cum avid COD gamers to have a personalized skin and bundle on Call of Duty are the Phoenix Suns duo, Kevin Durant and Devin Booker. But with LeBron James’ request, Bronny could join their elite company.

Moreover, King James himself is a huge Call of Duty fan and has been for over a decade. This was evident from a tweet he made back in 2012, posting, “Man this Call of Duty Black Ops 2 got me so hooked to the tv and joystick! Even @SavannahRB watching and she hate when I play video games.”
Funnily enough, LeBron James even referenced the game in one of his locker room speeches last year to motivate his teammates!

“Y’all play Call of Duty. Y’all know what that means going to the next level, y’all play Mario Bros, you know what that means… Level 2 is upon us.” So, it comes as no surprise that LeBron James is going the extra mile to get young Bronny his own in-game skin. That’s also because the 20-year-old is actually good and passionate about the game…

Have an interesting take?
Surely, many gamers like you might be wondering if Bronny is even good enough to get his own COD skin. Well, earlier this year at the Summer League festivities in Las Vegas, Bronny made headlines by winning the Call of Duty Modern Warfare III tournament and bagging prize money of $10,000. And he topped the chart with 84 points, defeating fellow NBA stars Grant Williams, Bobi Kintman, and more. Even Papa James was hyped up about his son’s achievement, “Ayyyeeeee!!! He really like that on that Duty!”
Obviously, it will be a huge honor for Bronny to be among the rare players with a customized skin. Even Devin Booker, whose skin was launched back in May, was excited to be a part of COD’s virtual world. In a video posted by Call of Duty, Book said, “Call of Duty has been a part of my whole life… Now to actually see it come to life, it’s a dream come true.” And Booker chose a secret agent look as his skin because of its uniqueness.

Along with the D-Book operator skin- MTZ-762 Sunrise Tracer and WSP-9 Sunset Tracer blueprints, a “Sick ‘Em Haven” finishing move, and a lot more were available after accessing from the hooper’s COD ‘bundle’.
Meanwhile, Kevin Durant was the first NBA player to get his own skin, which was last year. With LeBron James’ public appeal and Bronny’s skill, it will be interesting to see if the rookie joins the two stars in the iconic game, that raked in $31 billion in revenue in 2023. Thoughts?
