Is LeBron's pinkie toe the secret weapon behind his legendary performance on the court?

“Started from the bottom, now we here,” that’s LeBron James‘ pinkie toe for you. Remember when the King’s toes were out before the world? Yeah, that was in 2013, but it looks like the distaste for his oddly shaped feet remains unchanged. In fact, Bron’s kids have turned the entire situation into a big joke and they just keep laughing about it. Oh! The poor dad.

As you know the Netflix Series ‘Starting 5’ has premiered already. The show features the captivating journey of the top 5 hoopers of the 2023/24 NBA season. The list also includes LeBron James (of course) and here’s when we get a throwback to 2013. Bron’s “seriously messed up toes” as written by Bleacher Report a decade ago. Episode 3 named “Survival of the Fittest” features the rest and recovery regimens of the hoopers. Around 12 minutes into the intriguing episode, LeBron James’ kids, Bronny, Bryce, and Zhuri appear on the screen, giggling.

Just moments ago, the 4x NBA champ’s feet were in full view. The videographers probably wanted a good laugh and they handed the responsibility over to the kids. Bryce James starts by saying: “I know y’all seen his feet a lot.” And the Lakers rookie, Bronny James interrupted: “Yeah, everyone’s seen his feet. You don’t need to know no more about that.” Finally, their little sister, the 9YO, Zhuri added: “The funny, like, funny funny thing is when his toe is like on top of the other one.” So, the kids aren’t really a fan of LeBron James’ feet. Moreover, they’ve turned into a laughing stock in the household which is even more funny.

This reminds us of Shaquille O’Neal‘s feet revelation. Who knows, why, Shaq decided to expose those “beauties” on the NBA on TNT broadcast. The Big Diesel gave us a look at his gnarly feet during a pregame discussion with Dwayne Wade. Everyone on set was grossed out; what else did you expect? This led Wade and Adam Lefkoe to make a hilarious skit about their recovery from the traumatizing experience of seeing the legend’s horrifying feet.

But the point here is, that the greatest names of the league have horrible-looking feet. Not at all appealing and definitely not rewatchable. However, LeBron James might have found the perfect way to describe his odd toes. Or, maybe, it’s his way of saying “It is what it is.”

LeBron James compared his feet to the iconic Porsche 911

During a treatment session in the 2023-24 season, King James’ feet were exposed once again. This brought a series of memories from the past, especially when his toes went viral on Reddit. Since then, there haven’t been any moments of appreciation for them. And maybe, Bron has found ways to say some nice (read: cool) things. “Have you ever seen a Porsche 911?” LeBron James cheekily asked the people around him. You may wonder, what is this comparison the 20x NBA All-Star is making.

What’s your perspective on:

Is LeBron's pinkie toe the secret weapon behind his legendary performance on the court?

Have an interesting take?

So, James Sr. explains: “When the fin go up, that’s when you know that b**** really about to take off. You know what I’m saying? Yeah, that’s me. My pinkie toe is my fin. So once that b**** go up, it’s over. I can crank it into sixth-speed gear.” In simple terms, LeBron James’ odd pinkie toe which remains elevated all the time, is like the Porsche 911’s rear wing. That beast of a car takes your driving experience to a whole new level when the wings are up. Similarly, LeBron believes it’s his odd pinkie that takes him to new levels in each game, just like driving in sixth-speed gear.

As odd as it might sound, but James has undoubtedly found ways to appreciate his much-disliked feet. However, it is these feet that make him glide around the court and help him score. Maybe, it’s because of LeBron James’ personal Porsche 911’s fin that truly makes him soar high in the world of basketball.
