Stephen Curry has spent fourteen seasons in the league. And throughout all these seasons, he has made sure to stir up trouble for his opponents. It is nothing short of remarkable how Stephen Curry can make three-pointers from a seemingly far distance. Players tasked with defending his play don’t have it easy, as they have to stop his surprisingly accurate shots.
Even LeBron James has once admitted that you can’t contain Curry. And most recently, one of his title-winning ex-teammate called him out for dodging Curry.

Former teammate calls out LeBron James
LeBron James is now entering his 21st season in the league. And throughout the years he’s spent playing, he’s spent 11 years playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers. During his time with the team, he won a championship title and the MVP award twice among many other achievements.
However, one of the most epic plays that LeBron has offered for the Cavaliers would be when he played alongside Iman Shumpert and Kyrie Irving against the Golden State in 2016. And most recently, Iman Shumpert called out his 38- YO former teammate for dodging Curry during an episode of his podcast.

Iman Shumpert had Gilbert Arenas over during a recent episode of his podcast. The trio of Arena and Shumpert were talking about the Celtic-Heat matchup in the 2023 season and Jimmy Butler’s lackluster performance. Shumpert then recalled his time with the Cavalier and when they faced off against the Warriors.
He even called out LeBron. He said,?“?Trust me, I used to scream for Bron all the time.?Go on ahead Steph. You trying to hide? Kyrie, you trying to hide? ‘Cause it’s Steph, go guard him.?They ain’t gonna run no play for me.”
However, he wasn’t done. He continued, “I’m like, you know, that ni**a used to try and hide behind me on the ball screen. Naw, man, you and Kyrie finna go sword fighting over there. Get that sh*t away from me. Handle your motherf**king business, ni**a. Go ahead.”
And the showdown in 2016 between the two teams to this day, remains one of the best in NBA history.

A game for the books
Back in 2016, the Cleveland Cavaliers took on the Warriors. They had a star-studded lineup that included Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and others. Offering iconic moments and surprising turns, the series quickly established itself as a classic.
After falling behind 3-1 in the series, the Cavaliers made a commendable comeback. Their matchup resulted in Game 7, in which both teams fought valiantly for the desired NBA championship.
In the end, LeBron James came through with his prowess. His block on Andre Iguodala’s layup attempt proved to be vital for the Cavalier. Further, Kyrie Irving’s game-winning three-pointer in the closing seconds bought an end to Cleveland’s 52-year championship drought.
