LeBron James is feeling petty again! One of the greatest players ever, LeBron has also managed to gain a reputation of being petty, unable to let go of slights against him. Now, following the Lakers’ win over the LA Clippers, LeBron took to Instagram to make his frustrations known.
Why was LeBron frustrated? Well, if you watched the Clippers game, then you probably already know. Anyway, for those unaware, the problem arose when a foul on James was overturned due to “marginal contact.” However, Bron posted a still from the game on his Instagram story. In it, we can see Kawhi Leonard’s arm clearly going across LeBron’s face.
“Marginal huh!?!?🤦🏿♂🤦🏿♂🤦🏿♂🤦🏿♂“ he wrote.

Watching the game, it was clear how badly LeBron was hurt. Two of his teammates had to help him up. Even after that, he looked to be in pain when he sat on the Lakers’ bench. So calling the contact “marginal” amid all this is quite baffling, if you ask us.
The officiating in the NBA has been all over the place recently. In the Lakers’ previous game, Anthony Edwards was ejected for saying, “That’s a f—in’ foul.” While Edwards did swear, it wasn’t directed at the ref, and ejecting him for it is quite the harsh call. That said, the Lakers still ended the night with the W, so LeBron and co. are still better off than Minnesota.
The Lakers have been unbelievably good in their defense recently. So, let’s give you Lakers fans a quick rundown of how your team has improved by analyzing tonight’s game. Spoiler alert: You might have a smile on your face by the time you get to the end.
JJ Redick’s Los Angeles Lakers keep puzzling opposition attackers
We cannot overstate how good a job JJ Redick is doing as the Lakers’ head coach. He’s taken a team that struggled defensively to one that’s a nightmare for oppositions to score against. The Lakers are the team with the highest defensive rating for the past 30 days.

And this shows in their performances on the court! For starters, tonight, the Clippers had an abysmal time shooting from beyond the arc against the Lakers. LeBron and his teammates held them to just 9 three-pointers made from 37 attempts. That means the Clippers shot at only 24.3% tonight. Yikes. But the way the Lakers hound players lining up a shot, we’d wager only sharpshooters like Stephen Curry and Damian Lillard will be able to shoot threes consistently against them.

But don’t think that’s where their dominance ends. The Lakers are also amazing at getting the ball back from open play. They had 5 steals tonight compared to the Clippers’ 1. And these steals were pivotal in stopping the Clippers from gaining any momentum offensively.

But the stat that is the most telling of the Lakers’ defensive improvement is obviously how many points teams score against them. Well, pay attention because you’ll love what you’re about to hear. No team has scored more than 102 points against the Lakers since the All-Star break. That is simply an insane stat, as they’ve gone up against players like Nikola Jokic, James Harden, and Anthony Edwards recently.
Perhaps the only ones who can beat the Lakers are the referees if they keep ignoring fouls against LeBron. To conclude, all we can really say is, JJ Redick, keep it up!
