LeBron James is a man of many talents. While the entire world is aware of his dominance on the basketball court, it turns out that he is also a beast behind the console. At least that’s what his running mate Anthony Davis claims. Being an avid gamer himself, AD recently revealed on Join The Lobby podcast that LeBron has significantly improved his Madden skills over the last few years, “I think he maybe Top 1000 in the world.” However, former NFL star Cam Newton seemed to have no faith in LeBron’s Madden skills.

Hearing AD’s claim about LeBron’s Madden ranking, Newton called “CAP” on him and assured that he might be better than King James at the game, “I know he can’t beat me.” His reasoning being that LeBron cannot be good at a video game while he is also busy playing basketball in the NBA. And having retired from playing football three years ago, Newton refused to accept that Bron could defeat him.

“I cannot and will not lose to somebody who has a day job,” he says. Moreover, the NFL legend was ready to issue a challenge to LeBron, even willing to put anything on the line, “I’ll pay for Bronny’s NIL deal. Look that’s how confident I am.”

Meanwhile, King James heard all the chatter about him and shared Newton’s clip on his IG story, writing, “Where I’m from, the next word is BET! LET’S GET IT!” With that, it looks like the Lakers superstar is ready to defend his honor in the gaming world as he accepted Newton’s challenge.

While it’s hard to believe that James has the time to hone his Madden skills, considering he is so busy with his basketball career and countless other business ventures, AD revealed that he plays up to fifteen to twenty games in a day. So, Newton’s challenge might come back to bite him.

LeBron has showcased his Madden skills before

Surprisingly, Anthony Davis is not the only person who has acknowledged LeBron’s gaming skills. During the Bootleg Kev Podcast back in February, LeBron’s Cleveland buddy, rapper Doe Boy also revealed how dominant he is at the game, “He blew me out with the Jaguars… Man, He Cold!” Moreover, after getting dominated by Bron at the game, the rapper also shared a clip of the game on his IG story accusing the Lakers superstar of cheating. Only because he was that good at the game.

Even LeBron’s better half Savannah James can vouch for his passion for the game because she has seen it up front for several years. During last New Year’s Eve, she shared a clip of her husband fully invested in playing Madden instead of spending some quality time with the family.

“This how you making me bring in the New Year?” she asked LeBron. With so many instances of LeBron working on his Madden skills, he might really be as good as Davis claimed. And he could prove it once again if Newton follows through with the challenge.
