While the entire nation is focused on Bronny’s possible future in the NBA, LeBron James’ younger son Bryce is also starting to seriously turn some heads with his talent. Recently turned 17, Bryce is already being touted as a three-star recruit in the class of 2025. Moreover, his potential has sparked interest from several big-name colleges and it’s not just because he is LeBron James’ son. As it turns out, Bryce showcased his skills on the hardwood and took several NCAA coaches by surprise, even filling his father with pride.

With colleges looking to find their next big star, a ten-day-long event is currently underway in State Farm Stadium, Phoenix, providing a platform for the nation’s best high school players to impress over 500 hundred college coaches for a chance at a scholarship.

Among four hundred teams and thousands of young prospects, Bryce has stood out with his insane athleticism, somewhat reminiscent of his father. In a clip shared by several sports pages like Ballislife and Overtime, LeBron James’ son displayed his hops with an amazing left-handed poster dunk while avoiding a block from another high-flying defender. King James was quick to share his son’s impressive highlight on his IG story, that too from multiple angles, overloading his 159 million followers. Even Mrs. James couldn’t hide her excitement after watching her son fly high at the ongoing Section 7 tournament, writing on IG, “Sheeeeeshhhh!!!!! Calm down Bryce”

Moreover, Bryce’s impressive feat could land him more college offers very soon. Because of his sheer potential, the Sierra Canyon student already has offers from Ohio State University and Duquesne University. But he has yet to decide which college to represent.

Getting his first offer from Duquesne two years ago, many believe that it could be Bryce’s first choice also because LeBron’s high school teammate Dru Joyce III was named the team’s head coach, which will provide the 17-year-old a familiar and reliable mentor. But with Bryce impressing several NCAA coaches in Phoenix, more colleges could now chip in, altering his decision.

Bryce could be more NBA-ready than Bronny James!

As we head closer to the draft, Bronny will likely soon fulfill his NBA dream. However, many believe that his younger brother might be a more naturally gifted ball player than him. Standing at 6’6 at the age of seventeen, Bryce has a closer build to his legendary father than Bronny. And it’s not just about his big frame. With his impressive shooting combined with insane athleticism, Bryce has already been ranked the 22nd-best player in California. Back in May, he scored a 21-point haul against Cameron Boozer at the Nike EYBL tour that took many watching aback! And he is highly likely to improve his game significantly in the coming months.

With that, he could come out of college more ready to be an NBA player than Bronny is right now. Averaging only 4.8 points in his freshman year at USC, many wonder if Bronny should even be drafted this year. But that might not be the case with Bryce when he enters the draft. Even veteran analyst Chris Broussard addressed this during The Odd Couple Podcast, saying, “Have you seen much of Bryce? I’ve heard he’s a better prospect than Bronny.”

Brian Windhorst also shared the same sentiment last year, “LeBron’s more naturally talented son appears to be Bryce.” With a possibly higher ceiling, it’ll be interesting to see which college Bryce chooses as it could determine his chances of playing with his father in the NBA one day.
