LeBron James had all the eyes on him even before setting his foot on the court in Paris. Team USA’s flag bearer arrived at the glamourous ‘Prelude to the Olympics’ Party at Foundation Louis Vuitton. The guest list had big names from the music industry, Hollywood, and the sports world, making it an extravagant all-in-one-roof event. As the name suggests, everyone had their best LV apparel on point. And, of course, the brand’s official model, King James, didn’t miss the opportunity.

This isn’t the first time when the superstar caused a stir in the fashion industry. A few months ago, Grammy award-winning singer Pharrell Williams, executive producer, was looking for a model for his second collection. Everyone sensed the arrival of thunder. After utilizing Rihanna for the first collection, Williams required a worthy successor. And, there is no better replacement other than the man himself, LeBron James.

The pictures of Pharrell’s LV Spring/Summer 2024 collection bombed the internet. One of the pictures included James, donning a classic black suit, and holding a red LV bag. Fast forward to yesterday, the superstar brought the same energy at the ‘Prelude’ party. The Akron Hammer sported Distorted Damier Denim Jacket from the 2023 limited-edition Apparel Collaboration With Pharrell’s Something in the Water Festival. This premium jacket comes with a heavy price tag worth $2,550. Bron paired it up with gray trousers and white sneakers.

Every ardent follower of LV clothing would recognize the checkered design that took over the runway in Pharrell Williams’ debut Spring-Summer 2024 collection. This isn’t the first time when LeBron James donned something from Williams’ threads. The superstar donned LV’s custom Damoflage tweed collarless jacket worth about $5k along with a green LV bag while entering the Ball Arena at Denver.

Apart from James, the party had two other ballers from the Team USA roster. It was Tyrese Haliburton and Jayson Tatum. Importantly, WNBA sensation Angel Reese was also at the party sporting her best LV fit. Even though the party showed the glitz and glamor surrounding the American sports star, they also had an important task at hand.

LeBron James assembled an ‘Avengers’ unit after the 2023 FIBA WC embarrassment where the US side failed to even get a medal. LBJ initiated and put together an overpowered team involving superstars like Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, and Anthony Davis. While the team was expected to stomp the opportunities, recent reports tell otherwise.

Leading up to the Olympics, the team played 5 exhibition games. While the team managed to win 2 games comfortably, it barely managed to win the other three. Importantly, in the fourth game against South Sudan, which has qualified for the Olympics for the first time, almost defeated the US. If not for James’ clutch game-wining layup, the team would’ve suffered a one-point loss. So, it’s a given that the American superstars have to get their hands dirty to win the gold.
