Savannah sure knows how to hoop! Yup, the better half of LeBron James seems to have a few tricks up her sleeve when it comes to basketball. Of course, she has yet to take to the official hardwood, but the mother of three showcased her skills in NBA 2K25! Playing as ‘Bronny’, Mama James was draining shots like she’s been at it for a long time. But surprise, it’s the first time Vannah’s held a controller in what seems forever.

LeBron James had initially dropped a hint about the same during a panel discussion during the Lakers Media Day. Proudly sitting beside his son, the 22-season legend, decides to take a conversation to a lighter note, “I have a video on my phone of Savannah playing NBA 2K. He (Bronny) hasn’t seen it. She does not play video games, but she went in practice mode and played with her son. On practice mode, I forgot to post it. I was going to post it for the world, but I have not yet.” Well, lo-and-behold….

We all know how crazy LeBron James is about video games. The man’s been a fan since childhood and often shares snippets, particularly of Madden NFL. But from his comments and caption of a clip he shared on Instagram, just a few hours ago, showcasing his wife playing NBA 2K25, it seems like it’s the first time Vannah has held a gaming controller since the pair got together!

“@mrssavannahrj ayyeeee,” King James wrote on the top of the video, followed by another remark. “@bronny only way she would pick the [insert wireless controller emoji] up!” and a few laughing emojis to accompany. But while Vannah was playing, LeBron took the role of a commentator.

“Green bean. Green bean,” he exclaimed as Savannah drained a well-timed shot from the three with the Bronny avatar. “Only way you play the game, huh? Only way I could get her to play the game because of that one,” LeBron James further added, referring to her affection for her son becoming the reason she finally tried her hand at a video game.

But the pair weren’t done. “Oh aye! Okay, that was a good shot. You know how to do a dunk?” James asked as Vannah responded with a dunk. “Ayyyeeee,” he said jubilantly along with his wife, as she showcased a brilliant performance from a supposedly NBA 2K rookie on his Instagram stories. Savannah, for her part, had a playful response to the whole thing.

Taking to her IG, the millionaire entrepreneur re-shared a post by Complex Sports that displayed her playing NBA 2K. The post captioned the video, “Such a mom,” tagging her. And Vannah, on an equally playful note, captioned the clip with two emojis – a controller and a winking face with a tongue emoticon. In case you miss those stories, we have got you covered.

Although LeBron James jokingly complained that Bronny was required for his wife to finally try her hand at gaming, it wouldn’t be a stretch to say that the 4x champion might’ve just gotten himself a video game partner! Many guys’ ultimate dream, wouldn’t you say?

We are only too well aware of James’ love for video games. In fact, in early 2022, the ‘Akron Hammer’ had named his favorite gaming console – Goldeneye 007- in response to a fan’s excitement about the same. And more recently, the 20x All-Star revealed on X that he was thinking of live-streaming the Madden NFL games. No sooner did he make such a remark that Twitch and Kick, two of the most popular streaming platforms, got into an online bidding war.

Clearly, LeBron James’ love for video games runs deeply across communities! And maybe, it wouldn’t be too much to assume that we are going to see more of Savannah’s video game exploits in the foreseeable future. Especially now that she’s got a taste of it and that she would be playing as Bronny James. Can’t wait!
