You see how time changes? Before Feb.2, Los Angeles hated Luka Doncic because he was the rival. But that one fateful trade changed the story for good. Now, the Laker Nation calls him “one of our own.” Why shouldn’t they do so? The Slovenian star took off the blue of Dallas and embraced the Purple and Gold. But this change, or ‘divine intervention’ as some might call it, comes with benefits. And the one directly extracting the profit is LeBron James. But how?

What if someone told you that James Sr. could go on in the league until the second James Jr. debuts? Simply put, what if LeBron James continues until his 17-year-old son, Bryce debuts in the NBA? Sounds too far-fetched? Well, no. Stephen A. Smith believes otherwise.

Speaking on ESPN’s First Take, the veteran analyst told Shannon Sharpe amidst a back and forth, that Luka Doncic may have added an extension to the Akron Hammer’s NBA tenure. “He [Doncic] may have actually extended and prolonged the career of LeBron James.” Look, Bron has been in search of a Luka-like force on the court for the LA Lakers. And maybe the 25-year-old guard is the one!

SAS further added: “What I’m saying is everybody was talking about the beginning of the season. Two years left or whatever. We don’t know what LeBron James might do now, especially if they’re winning And when it comes up, he might not go anyway. He might stay another five is what I’m trying to say. Taking him off the ball, it’s gonna add a couple of years. There’s no doubt about it, man.”

Such words coming from Stephen A. Smith seem slightly shocking. But then, facts are facts. And the way LeBron James has been playing lately, he’s nothing less than his young teammates. Even Luka seems less active around Bron. And those dunks? Who would even believe LeBron is 40?

But this isn’t where the story ends. The Lakers are preparing for Luka Doncic and Dallas Mavericks reunion. It’s going to be an emotionally charged game for sure. Most importantly, ESPN Insider has shared something that should add to the Mavs concerns. Their former homeboy is waiting for the grand meetup and he’s in high spirits.

Has Luka Doncic become the missing piece to extend LeBron's legendary career with the Lakers?

Luka Doncic isn’t just channeling new energy to LeBron James, he’s up to something major as well

LeBron James has found his force on the court in Luka Doncic who dropped a massive 32-point game vs. the Denver Nuggets last Saturday. ESPN’s senior insider, Shams Charania informed that the Slovenian Sensation has changed his fitness regimen“He has been putting in daily work on the court, in the weight room. Even to the point where he went to Cabo over All-Star break and sources told me, he worked with Scott Brooks every single day while he was there.” This is simply a way of shutting down all the “fat Luka” claims. In reality, he’s already looking lean after spending 3 weeks in LA.

Meanwhile, Dave McMenamin of ESPN has a bigger revelation about Luka. In the recent practice sessions, Doncic seemed high-spirited. “Smiling, competing, and having fun,” McMenamin informed. Meanwhile, JJ Redick who was the 25-year-old’s teammate at Dallas said that he thinks Luka will be fine. But that’s not all (as always!). Dorian Finney-Smith who has been Doncic’s teammate on both teams said, “Luka’s gonna be excited, and he wants Luka as his teammate to know that that entire locker room has his back.”

McMenamin continued: “And as for Luka having any kind of ill will or hurt feelings or some of the things said about him on his way out the door from Dallas, you know, comments about his weight and conditioning, I’m told that a, a source close to Luka told me that a beast has wakened inside of him hearing, some of that chatter and upping his motivation level.” This news will make all the Lakers fans and Dallas fans happy. The beast is alive and who knows maybe a Kobe Bryant-esque awaits, just like the fans are anticipating since Feb.2. Exaggeration much?
