It looks like talent runs in the James family. A day after LeBron James led the Los Angeles Lakers to a dominant victory over the Chicago Bulls, his daughter Zhuri James took the internet by storm. The 9-year-old flexed her “Smooth” Michael Jackson moves with an unbelievable twist, leaving her mother, Savannah James, in awe.

Savannah shared a video of Zhuri pulling off the Pop sensation’s iconic Moonwalk on her Instagram story. To add another level of difficulty, she did the dance move on skates. Zhuri’s moves were so smooth that Savannah put MJ’s legendary ‘Smooth Criminal’ song as the background music.

The video showed Zhuri’s multi-talented personality as the move required her to be a great dancer and a great skater at the same time. Savannah’s 2.4 million Instagram followers would also be in disbelief after witnessing Zhuri’s hidden talent.

LeBron and Savannah constantly take pride in their daughter’s talent and achievements. Just two days ago, King James shared a video of Zhuri using two French fries as a spoon to eat another French fry. LeBron was on a lunch date with his 9-year-old daughter when he was taken aback by her hilarious antics.

Even though Zhuri failed in her mission to get the fry to her mouth, she won her father’s heart with her witty side. The wholesome father-daughter moment also melted the hearts of LeBron’s 159 million Instagram followers.

James family’s Michael Jackson fandom

LeBron James would be ecstatic to see his daughter paying homage to the legendary Michael Jackson, as he is also a fan of the Pop sensation. In a tweet dated 13 years ago, LeBron expressed his desire to have met MJ before he passed. “Wish I had a chance to meet Michael Jackson before he passed! Amazing at what he did! #globalicon” King James tweeted in 2011. That shows how much respect and admiration LeBron had for Jackson as an artist and a global icon. LeBron was also seen grooving to Michael Jackson’s 1980 song “This Place Hotel” last year.

In August 2023, LeBron shared a video of singing along to the iconic song while driving around in his car. The moment was just a few months after the Lakers got swept by the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals. With LeBron grooving to Michael Jackson’s songs and his daughter learning MJ’s iconic dance moves from an early age, it seems the James family remains heavily influenced by the Pop legend even 15 years after his passing.
