LeBron James has always been his kids’ biggest hype man, and right now, he’s got every reason to celebrate. His son, Bryce James, just hit a massive career milestone, and you better believe LeDad is soaking in every moment. The Lakers superstar didn’t waste a second before hitting Instagram, making sure the world knew just how proud he was after Sierra Canyon took down Redondo Union in a wild 74-68 battle to win the Southern California Regional Division I title.

But while James is riding that high with Bryce, there’s something else bubbling in the background—his heated courtside clash with Stephen A. Smith. Yeah, that situation? Still messy. And Smith? Still fuming. Or … should we say, “still milking.” Getting to that in a bit.

The James era at Sierra Canyon isn’t over yet, and Bryce is keeping the torch lit. As soon as that regional title was in Bryce James & Co.’s hands, LeBron was already blasting it all over Instagram. If there was any doubt about how much this meant to him, the IG repost said it all.

“AYYYYEEEEEEE,” he wrote, with a series of raising hands emoji following it, as he re-shared a screenshot of Bryce’s story. That image, in turn, showed the younger James holding the trophy with a simple message: “Thank you God,” followed by a praying hand emoji. As for the matchup itself?

It was amazing. With the state championship on the line, the Trailblazers just pulled off a gritty, down-to-the-wire win, and even though Bryce didn’t stuff the stat sheet (he finished with just three points), his team stepped up when it mattered most. Gavin Hightower and Maximo Adams? Absolute killers in the clutch!

Hightower went off for 25 points, Adams dropped 22, and when it came down to the final minute, they delivered.

LeBron's courtside clash with Stephen A. Smith—justified fatherly defense or unnecessary drama?

Have an interesting take?

With the game hanging in the balance, Hightower made the play of the night—grabbing a crucial offensive board and converting a three-point play that put Sierra Canyon up 69-68. The second that final buzzer sounded, Bryce and his squad erupted. And Redondo Union? They never scored again. Game over. Ticket to the state finals punched.

Now, Sierra Canyon (26-7) has one last battle left—a showdown in Sacramento against Stockton Lincoln (31-4) for the state championship. The job isn’t done, but man, this ride is getting crazier by the second.

Stephen A. Smith Still Furious Over LeBron Confrontation

While LeBron’s busy soaking in every second of Bryce’s success, his name is still all over sports media—and not just because of basketball. His ongoing war of words with Stephen A. Smith? Yeah, that’s still catching fire.

Remember that courtside confrontation that went viral? The one where LeBron walked up to Stephen A. and let him hear it? Well, Smith isn’t letting it go. He just went on “Gil’s Arena” and went off, calling the whole thing “weak” and saying LeBron twisted the story.

According to Smith, LeBron ran up on him during the Lakers-Knicks game and straight-up told him: “Yo, you gotta stop talking s— about my son.

Smith claims he wanted to talk it out after the game, but LeBron wasn’t having it. Right there, in the middle of the arena, he wanted to settle things.

And if that wasn’t enough, Smith says LeBron made it worse by later talking about the whole situation on live TV with Richard Jefferson, supposedly spinning the narrative to make Smith look bad. “I thought that he misrepresented the argument,” Smith said. “Had he said to me, ‘You were talking about me as a father,’ I would’ve come right back at him—yes, I was.

Smith’s biggest gripe? He stands by his take that Bronny James should have taken the G League route instead of getting an NBA roster spot right away. With Bronny struggling for minutes this season, Smith thinks he was right all along.

But for LeBron? This isn’t about basketball—it’s about being a dad. He’s made it clear he’ll always defend his kids, no matter who he has to confront. And as Bryce gets ready for the biggest game of his career, LeBron’s message is loud and clear: He’s riding with his family, no matter what.

So yeah, while the media storm rages on, LeBron James is staying locked in on what really matters. If Bryce brings home that state championship, you already know what’s coming next—another all-out celebration from the King himself.
