LeBron James has been dominating the basketball world for the last 22 years and has earned 4x MVP titles, including other accolades in the league. He was also part of the USA national basketball team and won the 2008 and 2012 gold medals at the Olympics. Yet it is not the only sport that the King James excels at. Notably, Madden NFL is a video game developed for EA Sports. But it is not that LeBron always had an edge in this game. Interestingly, it was his Lakers teammate Anthony Davis who motivated him to perform well beyond the latter in the game. Now, 4x MVP is in love with this game and plays with his friends.
About an hour ago today, the 39-year-old forward uploaded a video on his IG story playing Madden game with his friends Sian Cotton and Willy McGee. The Lakers superstar also added a funny caption, “Got these boys on Madden now too!🤣🤣🤣🤣” With what King James showed in that clip, it seems that he had defeated his friends as well in the game, considering the latter’s facial expressions. They all had disappointed faces as LeBron had almost crushed them at Madden. It seems like King is having fun during the off-season even when Bronny just got drafted, and the 39-year-old has the Olympics ahead.
Well, it is quite deserving, considering the fast-paced games during the regular season that take a toll on the player. It devoids them from their family and friends’ time. Though the Lakers exited early in the playoffs, King James still had worries about Bronny’s draft and other responsibilities, including the head coach hiring process. Since both of his major tasks are done, it’s the ‘Madden’ time for LeBron and his buddies. However, a question arises: how did LeBron get so good at the game?

Throwback to Anthony Davis’ interesting story related to LeBron James’ ‘Madden’ addiction
While appearing on Join The Lobby podcast about three weeks ago, LeBron’s Lakers teammate Anthony Davis shed light on how the former got obsessed with the ‘Madden NFL’ game. Recalling insights from his story, Davis shared that Madden was their go-to video game while their team was inside the NBA bubble at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando during the COVID-19 period. And interestingly, he used to defeat LeBron because he was already good at it. However, it lit a fire in James to excel at that game.
Afterward, Davis revealed that LeBron “locked back in” the game. “From that time in the bubble till right now, I think now he’s maybe top 1000 in the world now, “ AD further shed light on King James’ progress in the game since their last encounter. As expected, someone as competitive as James, he truly lived up to his title. Right now, Anthony added that LeBron might have defeated 164 ranked players in the world as he recalled a faded memory from this season’s end.
