LeBron James is one of the best athletes to grace the sporting world. There are few players who can run and jump like him at his size. The 6’9” Forward has lit the NBA on fire for two decades. At 38, his hunger to pursue big goals remains the same. This is why a driven individual like him has to sacrifice a lot. As someone who is attached to his family, he can feel guilty about his pursuits.

In one such instance, he acknowledged to Savannah that he needed to do more as a partner.

As one of the greatest players, LBJ has always set tough goals for himself to reach such acclaim. For someone who loves to spend time with his family, balancing the act becomes tougher.

His stubbornness to push for greatness makes him feel that he isn’t doing enough for the family.

In 2017, he went to the Road Trippin’ podcast, hosted by Allie Clifton, Richard Jefferson, and Channing Frye. He talked about how he felt he gave inadequate time to his wife and family.

Discussing his obsession, the Lakers Great stated, “I am addicted to the process. I’m addicted to the process. It’s so funny. I just told my wife the other day, I apologized to her. She was like, what are you apologizing for?” He replied to her, “I said ‘Because the journey that I’m on to want to be the greatest to ever play this game or to the point where no one ever forgets what I accomplished, I’ve at times lost the fact of how important you are to this whole thing.”

The former Cavaliers‘ Forward continues: “I want you to understand that along this journey, while I’m playing this game, there will be times that I lose the fact of how important you and my three kids are – my babies are.

Juggling family, business, and hooping has been a tricky endeavor for King James.

The obsession with basketball

As if the grind of an NBA season isn’t enough, the Forward is relishing hoops during the offseason too. With his kids now prominently on scouts’ radar, he is coaching their squads. He did so when Bryce’s Strive for Greatness team took the floor in EYBL squads. He looked pumped up and motivated the team amply.
