The Milwaukee Bucks fired their head coach, Adrian Griffin, on Tuesday. Griffin got booted from his job after only 43 games despite leading Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co. to one of the best records in the league. The Bucks are 2nd in the Eastern Conference standings with a 30-13 record. It is speculated that Griffin got fired because Giannis reportedly lost faith in him as a head coach.

The rumors triggered LeBron James’ fans as they pointed out Giannis’ hypocrisy following Adrian Griffin’s shocking exit.

After rumors broke out about Giannis Antetokounmpo being the reason for Adrian Griffin’s firing from the Bucks, LeBron fans were quick to point out the hypocrisy. One fan wrote on X, “And it’s crazy cuz if this was LeBron, we’d be hearing about him being a coach killer. Hate to see a brotha done dirty like this smh.” The NBA World followed suit.

Fans deemed Giannis a “coach killer” and questioned why he was not being slandered for getting his head coach fired like LeBron James.

A fan reminded everyone that Adrian Griffin is the second head coach Giannis has gotten fired in the last year. The Milwaukee Bucks fired former Coach of the Year Mike Budenholzer last summer after they got knocked out in the first round of the playoffs.

One fan hilariously questioned if the Bucks equipment manager would get fired next. He was referring to Giannis’ comments about everyone on the Bucks needing to improve, “The equipment manager. He has to wash our clothes better.”

After Adrian Griffin’s shocking exit from Milwaukee, the Bucks are looking for a new head coach. According to reports, former Champion Doc Rivers is their primary target for the position. Doc has 24 years of coaching experience and led the Boston Celtics to a Championship in 2008. Rivers’ most recent head coaching job was for the Philadelphia 76ers from 2020 to 2023. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co. could use the playoff experience of Rivers to make another run for the title.

Although the Bucks are 2nd in the East, they need to improve in some aspects. The Bucks are 2nd in the league in offensive rating this season after the addition of Damian Lillard. But they are one of the worst defensive teams in the league since parting ways with Jrue Holiday. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co. are 21st in the league in defensive rating. And that can prove costly in the playoffs, where the offense slows down.
