A few months ago, LeBron James was on top of the basketball world. The 39-year-old became the MVP and won the gold medal at the Paris Olympics. Fast forward to today, many social media posts call him “washed” after a series of underwhelming performances. Above all, after tonight’s loss against the Timberwolves, Coach JJ Redick and LeBron James seemed to have deviated tracks with regards to a crucial decision on playing all 82 games, as the rookie coach left Bron run short of words.

Did Coach JJ just doubt the superstar’s million-dollar recovery program?

Almost everyone knows that LeBron James is the epitome of fitness in the sporting world, taking on top athletes while pushing 40. This conversation always leads down to the top dollar that Bron spends on his fitness. While many stick to $1.5 million per year, some say it might even go beyond $3 million. Speaking of which, the superstar himself recently said, “I’ve heard this crazy notion about how much money I spend on my body per year, and I kind of just chuckle. That is a number that I will not disclose.”

Nevertheless, whatever money he spent seemed to be working well for the superstar. Notably, it even pushed him to say that he’d play all 82 games ahead of this season. And, a reporter, pointing at that, asked JJ if that was sustainable considering how the season has progressed for the superstar. After a long pause, JJ Redick said something that surely must have sent shockwaves to the Lakers’ nation.

The 40-year-old coach said, “He does a remarkable job of taking care of his body and getting recovery. I don’t know if that’s in the best interest of him and us if he does that (playing 82 games) But if he’s feeling well and feeling good and he should play. But we obviously want to manage that as best we can.” While he has directly raised concerns regarding the superstar’s fitness and recovery, the reporters managed to get an immediate reaction from Bron.

LeBron James vs JJ Redick: How did the superstar react to the skepticism?

Before we go into the superstar’s response, it’s important to understand that LeBron James has found himself in a tough slump. Notably, King James went without a bucket from the perimeter in the last four games, shooting at 0-19 3pt FG. Moreover, ahead of the flight to Minnesota, which was right after the win against the Jazz, the superstar looked extremely weary and even yawned a couple of times during the post-game interview.

While it reflected the league’s hectic scheduling, it also pointed out the difficulties that Bron had to go through at this point in his career. Nevertheless, it impacted his game as well. Tonight, the superstar went 4-16 FG, dropping 10 points and 8 rebounds with 6 turnovers. Truly a poor performance. And, following the game, Redick also questioned his 82-game goal.

In response, Bron said“That’s a goal, but we’ll see. But I don’t. Something I ain’t discussing right now,” clearly wasn’t prepared to take that question at that point. Can we see a redemption from then on? What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
