When LeBron James entered the league as The Chosen One, a lot was riding on him. While many wanted to see him fail, he solely went on to achieve whatever the pundits at the time predicted. However, he had a lingering fear of everyone wanting him to fail.
This fear persisted, especially after his historic “decision” to leave Cleveland to chase a title in Miami. Amid jersey burnings and booing, Bron emerged triumphant and returned to the Cavaliers, earning them a championship and turning the narrative in his favor. However, after all these years, the fear finally catches up to him through his son, Bronny James.
Sure, following the greatest of all time is tough act to follow, but what’s even harder is to be his son. That seems to be the predicament of Bronny. Despite overcoming a cardiac arrest during his freshmen year playing college ball, the 19-year-old is being heavily scrutinized at the moment for not measuring up to his father LBJ. From mock drafts to a barrage of fan ridicule, Bronny has seen it all.

Recently, Kewshawn Johnson pointed that very thing out saying, “There may be more pressure on Bronny going to the NBA than LeBron James.”

Even LeBron himself came out on X, imploring fans to: “just let the kid be a kid and enjoy college basketball.” However, according to many fans and analysts in the league, LeBron might have a huge role to play in Bronny’s current fate.

Is LeBron James responsible for Bronny being clowned?
Earlier, LeBron James was notoriously hyping Bronny up, posting on X, “Man Bronny definitely better than some of these cats I’ve been watching on league pass today. Sht lightweight hilarious.” So, now that the 19-year-old is averaging 5.5 points, 2.5 assists, and 2.8 rebounds while playing 22 minutes per game, and isn’t even close to NBA level, the clowning should come as no surprise.
However, in this whole saga, one’s heart has to go out for Bronny who had no part in the whole drama. In addition to sharing his dad’s name, the kid has a massive legacy on his shoulders. Don’t you think it’s unfair for Bronny James to face such undue criticism?
