LeBron's new 'Splash Brother' comment—Is this the start of a new dynamic duo in the NBA?

Team USA delivered an outstanding performance this afternoon in Abu Dhabi, securing a stellar 105-79 victory over Serbia. The second unit shone with their passes, dunks, and three-pointers. Notably, Team USA minimized their turnovers, committing only six in the first half. This game was one of the most balanced performances from Team USA, with Bam Adebayo being a standout player. His synergy with Anthony Davis at the rim was impeccable, and his alley-oop combinations with LeBron James left fans in awe.

The showstopper of the whole game was LeBron’s alley-oop, which came six minutes down in the fourth quarter of the game. As the defenders were wobbling up on Bam Adebayo in the paint, he did not have the chance to shoot. That’s why he threw the ball to LeBron, who was just standing under the rim, and scored a menacing one-handed dunk, leaving the crowd cheering after the basket. Apart from passes, the shooting abilities from Bam left the team impressed and earned him 17 points. The center scored second most points to Klay’s Splash brother, Stephen Curry. Since Klay was not on the team, LeBron made a remark about Bam while walking down the Team USA tunnel, “The new Splash Brother… Bam Bam Splash!” Such a big entitlement left Bam saying, “Oh my God,” and blushing in the corner.

Well, it was worth praising since Bam scored 60% of his three-pointers out of the five attempts. Since he was just in the second position for shooting beyond the arc after Curry as he scored a basket on 66.6% of his beyond-the-arc shots out of nine attempts, Bam emerged as the new splash brother in the match against Serbia. With such an impact play, it is no wonder LeBron was adamant about teasing the Team USA center.

Overall, it looked like a good game, but Team USA and LeBron James experienced the same fate of a slow start. It was after Anthony Davis and Bam Adebayo’s entry on the court that the game changed. In the first half, the team had only 14 points lead over Serbia with a 59-45 scoreline. However, in the second half, the margin stretched as Jrue Holiday’s magnificent back pass and Bam-LeBron combo manifested themselves.

However, the takeaways were not about only court this time. The player whose sharpshooting helmed Team USA got the chance to meet legendary footballer Paul Pogba after the game. The 31-year-old French midfielder interacted with Curry while the latter was walking down the Team tunnel and praised his game against Serbia.
