The 18-year-old marks his arrival! The Ohio State Buckeyes’ young gun Jeremiah Smith entered his 4th game of the season with an impressive 14 catches for 281 yards and 4 touchdowns. While everyone, including the Laker LeBron James, anticipated a similar performance from the wide receiver, Smith surprised all with a special move. Importantly, the King, who never shied away from appreciating true talent, hailed the young man. The 4x NBA Champ would support the star even if the sporting world is against them.
Usually, we see wide receivers complete the touchdowns, snatching the football out of the air. However, in tonight’s game against the Michigan State Spartans, Smith completed a touchdown as a rusher, surprising LeBron James. Following the play, the hooper immediately took to his X handle and wrote, “JEREMIAH SMITH!!!! MAN KNOCK IT OFF!!!! MY GOODNESS O-H..”
Jeremiah Smith looked locked in, taking the attack directly to Michigan State. In short, he surely didn’t look like a freshman. In the first half alone, the rising star collected not one but two one-handed catches, which nobody expected a rookie to do while surrounded by the Spartan defenders. The second catch turned out to be more special as the young gun converted it into a touchdown, late in the second quarter. And, it also gave the Buckeyes a comfortable 17-7 lead over the Spartans.

They carried the momentum forward in the second half and produced a dominating 38-7 win, with Will Howard leading the side with two touchdowns. However, by the time the game was over, Jeremiah Smith had already become a national sensation. The video clip of the two one-handed catches went viral across the country. Well, he got a response from LeBron James. What’s more to say?

While Marvin Harrison Jr. had quite a limited role in his debut campaign, many worried that Jeremiah Smith was walking into a similar scene. After all, Ohio State already had Emeka Egbuka and Carnell Tate, which made the young gun’s active role even more blurry. At the same time, it’s important to note that the Lakers legend not only supports national sensations but also underdogs.

“This is maybe the biggest bust in NFL history.” This situation became even worse when the management decided to bench the 2023 NFL #1 pick.Amid this demoralizing time, when everyone turned their backs on Nick Young,
LeBron James put out an encouraging post on X. He wrote, “Bryce Young, hold ya head Young !! Rooting for you and know this ain’t on you! Continue to put the work in and it shall prevail!” Whether the young footballer resurrects from the ashes or not, King James showed his pure class by standing up for the athlete when the rest of the sporting world trashed him. Moreover, LeBron James doesn’t restrict this gesture only to the NFL players.
